SPOTLIGHT ON MEMBER CLUBS CAMERA NATURALIST PHOTO CLUB The Somerset County Environmental Educational Center, 190 Lord Stirling Rd., Basking Ridge, NJ is holding an In the Field, Macro Workshop on October 21st. The all day workshop is being led by three members of the Camera Naturalist Photo Club. PICTORIAL SLIDE COMPETITION The Annual Fall Color Competition will be held at Monmouth Camera Club on October 25, The closing date is October 17th. Both transparencies and digital slides are acceptable. Check the Competition web page for entry information. This club year s Pictorial Slide TOPS in NJ Competition will be held at Cranford/Millburn Camera Club on November 12, The closing date is November 7th. Proceeds go directly to the environmental center. Interested folks should contact them directly at: The following is from the Environmental Education Center s web site: Behind the Lens - Digital Photography Workshop Join expert photographers from the Camera Naturalist Photography Club for an educational hands-on workshop. Learn techniques for capturing nature close-up, proper use of flash, and enhancing photographs with Photoshop. The program includes a morning field workshop and afternoon computer workshop. Bring your own digital camera. Computer and card reader will be provided for the afternoon. Pre-registration required. $45 per person Course Code: Sunday. October 21st. 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM NATURE SLIDE-DIGITAL COMPETITION The Annual Fall Nature Slide-Digital Competition will be held at Ocean County Camera Club on October 15th. EDITORIAL CONTENT OF YOUR NEWSLETTER As is apparent, the editorial content of this issue of Cable Release is sorely lacking. We need the help of all of our member clubs through submission of timely articles and information on club or regional events. We re also trying to continue the Spot Light Series. Last month we featured Princeton Camera. Check that issue for the content and length of the articles we re requesting. FALL PRINT COMPETITION The NJFCC Fall Print Competition will b hosted by Tri-County Camera Club on November 13, Check out the Competition Page on the web site, at as there are minor rules changes, including elimination of the Trade Category. Entry forms have also been revised. The Closing Date for submitting entries is October 15th if a club is planning on bringing them to the Delegates Meeting that night
