1 CENTRAL TIMETABLING UNIT UNIVERSITY OF PORTSMOUTH ROOM BOOKING POLICY ROOM CLOSURES IN TEACHING TIME Milldam closes Mon Thurs 7.00 & Fri 6.00 Library closes Mon - Thurs 8.30 & Fri 6.30 Burnaby Terrace closes at 7pm All other buildings close at 9.00 Mon Thurs except Fri which is 7.00 ROOM CLOSURES OUT OF TEACHING TIME Milldam closes at 6.00 Library closes Mon Thurs 8.30 & Fri 6.30 Burnaby Terrace closes at 6pm All other buildings close at 7.00 AG/BK/IMS/JWH/LG/MH/SB close at 7pm all year for Energy Efficiency review measures. Burnaby Building closes at 7pm out of term time for Energy Efficiency review measures, but is open until 9.00 in teaching time. Out of Hour bookings including weekends will need caretaker cover in all buildings; you will need to the estates.helpdesk@port.ac.uk with a cost code from your Faculty. If any Portable Whiteboards are needed for teaching space contacts Russell Bissett ext 3410 Operations Manager or Chris Beaman ext 3412 Security Manager. SOCIETY ONE-OFF BOOKINGS Society one off bookings have to go through the Union Shop and Reception at UPSU Student Centre ext 3628 who will then pass on to Ann Brown in CTU via an UoP Room Booking Request Form with all information on. INDIVIDUAL STUDENT BOOKINGS Students may use the Group Studios in The Library. There are no PCs in the rooms; however there is an input for a laptop. The rooms each have a capacity of 6 and are booked through the Library Website. ( this gives them information about the study rooms and how to book online.
2 EXTERNAL PERSON/COMPANY BOOKINGS Any bookings (at any time of the year) which are made by an External Person/Company should be booked through David Goodwin in Conference and Lettings extension number 4567 or BOOKING OF ANGLESEA COURT ROOM COMPLEX. Any bookings for A1.57 Courtroom and A1.57 Jury can be made through Martine Eneas Ext BOOKING THE LEARNING RESOURCE CENTRE IN PARK BUILDING. Any bookings for the Learning Resource Centre in Park building need to be booked through Rob Hobbs ext 6022 or BOOKING OF ST MICHAEL S FOYER Any bookings for St Michael s Foyer can be made through Christopher Robinson ext 3596 or Amanda Cole ext 5129; this is dedicated space to Sci. BOOKING OF KING HENRY S FOYER Any bookings for King Henry Foyer can be made through Frances Hayes ext BOOKING OF THE 1 ST FLOOR SPACE IN NUFFIELD HALL - Contact Claire Myers on ext BOOKING OF THE THIRD SPACE Booking of the 3 rd Space from the beginning of June through to the end of August is controlled by Conference and Lettings, you will need to contact David Goodwin (Ext 4567) and there will be a charge. 3 The new dataset rolls over on 1 st March every year. Rooms for exams/referrals will be booked out by CTU. Conference and Lettings are allowed to make their bookings first, up until the end of March. Conference and Lettings can only book during non-teaching periods. No one-off bookings can be made for during the teaching periods until teaching has been scheduled (both semesters). Each Faculty should have their own Room Booker to book any one-off requests.
