4 About the Speakers Walter Beaver, MD, specializes in hip & knee. He received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina and completed his surgical internship at Yale-New Haven Hospital. Glenn Downer, vice president at BST, specializes in global accounts management. BST is a global safety consulting firm that helps companies reduce occupational injuries, improve organizational functioning, and develop strong safety leadership. Bruce Hamilton is a graduate of Tulane University and the University of Virginia School of Law. He is listed in the editions of The Best Lawyers in America, and was selected by his peers to be included in the North Carolina Edition of Super Lawyers from Jane C. Jackson is a partner at Robinson & Lawing LLP. She is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the University of Virginia School of Law. Timothy Lane, MD, is director, infectious diseases at Moses Cone Health System and a professor at the University of North Carolina School Of Medicine. David Marlett, PhD, CPCU is director of the Brantley Risk and Insurance Center and department chair at Appalachian State University. He received his undergraduate degree and doctorate from Florida State University. E. Jay Norris is manager of claims at Duke Energy Corporation.
