At peak times, customer s with Network and SOHO 16 services are likely to experience less performance degredation because it is considered a higher priority than Network Max, which in turn is a higher priority than SOHO Max or Home Worker services. **Assured rate provides guaranteed capacity upstream and downstream where the customer s service is capable of achieving that performance based on physical limitations of distance and copper path quality. One year contracts apply; payable annually in advance or quarterly by Direct Debit. NetDSL Enhanced: Fast response times and 48 hour fix guarantee, or 50% service credit for that month. Note: SLA covers ADSL service only and not the PSTN line the service is delivered on. Page 6

Ethernet First Mile (EFM) Ethernet First Mile (EFM) technology is an advanced form of broadband service that provides up to 10Mbps symmetrical uncontended access using ubiquitous copper circuits. For companies looking for high quality upstream capacity to support , head office VPN termination or hosted applications, EFM can overcome the upstream limitations of ADSL or SDSL, without costing as much as a dedicated fibre-based Ethernet service. With shorter lead times than fibre leased-lines, but with more resilience than a standard broadband line, EFM fills a much-needed gap between the two types of access. EFM is also useful for those sites where higher capacity access is required, but fibre would cost too much to install. Opal s EFM service is delivered on between two and eight dedicated copper circuits (included in the price) depending on distance, copper quality and bandwidth requirements and comes with a next business day fix guarantee and a target availability of 99.9%.
