4 What is Hosted VoIP? VoIP is Voice over Internet Protocol. This is the method of handling telephone calls using the Internet as the delivery mechanism rather than traditional telephone lines. This technology is becoming the new standard in telephony with BT upgrading the whole UK network to VOIP with their 21CN programme. Already established in the USA, it is considered that VoIP has replaced the current systems in most big UK businesses. Hosted VoIP means that all of the technology required to utilise VoIP is hosted by the supplier. Making the service ideal for businesses who then don t need to purchase expensive telephone systems or maintain these in their office(s). The equipment is managed in a secure central site by the supplier and you have access over the Internet to manage your telephone numbers and features. Why consider Hosted VoIP? With a large frequency and volume of telephone calls high telecommunications costs are the norm. With hosted VoIP systems these costs can be dramatically reduced. All call charges are significantly reduced and calls to other VoIP phones are free, with no loss of call quality, giving you great savings. Plus the system can be used anywhere there is a broadband connection, so employees can make calls on a VoIP phone at home, on the train or even the beach using WiFi. As you don't need a large PBX the cost of the business VoIP telephony system is greatly reduced. Calls between employees within your voice network are free and all other landline calls local and international are greatly reduced. Clients would only pay for the IP licenses used, therefore limiting exposure in centres with low occupancy. The security of every call is enhanced, as all calls go through our high-level security Data Centre. Additionally, there is Session Border Controller security in place to make sure every call is delivered securely. Session Border Controller (SBC) is a firewall designed specifically for VoIP calls and protects your business VoIP telephone solution from exposure to the public internet. Upgrades to the VoIP service and technology are made remotely whenever new features become available. You will receive them the moment they are launched, rather than having to wait for a maintenance man to come and install new hardware on your site. The hosted telephony model enables clients, when they leave to move to new premises, to keep their telephone number. This is offered to them if they take a phone contract with Liquid.
6 Liquid Net X How can it help Medaxon House tennants? NetX is an industry leading bandwidth management platform specifically built for multi-tenanted sites. It is a revenue generating product which allows you, the serviced office proprietor to offer your clients the following: Shared Bandwidth for general usage (SIA) Dedicated portions of bandwidth for heavy users (DIA) Intelligent Bandwidth Management Corporate grade firewalling Customised firewall settings for every company requirement Website Blocking Content Blocking VLAN Security for clients VPNs for connecting multiple offices Individual network security A client in one office cannot see the network of another Auto failover where multiple internet lines are available Private, Mapped and Public IPs available Port forwarding 24/7 System Monitoring The NetX system is intelligent and therefore will cover all the different areas of a business centre such as meeting rooms, hot desks, offices, converged QOS voice lines, printers and copiers. The uncontended service (DIA) would be managed and monitored by NetX, and the bandwidth would be guaranteed through the use of policies and VLANS, this service is only possible with a fibre or EFM or FTTC lines. NetX will allow SBC to use their bandwidth very efficiently and through the intelligent bandwidth management you would be able to over sell the line. With Liquid NetX, end users receive a truly bespoke product, as if they were taking their own line, with their own firewall and individual network settings and therefore charges can be as if a client was choosing their own product from multiple providers.
7 Network Operations Centre (NOC) The Liquid Network Operations Centre (NOC) monitors your system 24/7, and all switches, firewalls and routers are monitored so if there is a failure we know about it first. The NOC can monitor for faulty equipment right down to the individual port or cable and equipment is checked automatically throughout the day and reports are produced to ensure that the network is functioning as well as it should and to make sure we are maximising the resources available. The NOC is accessible to our engineers from any location using their laptops and mobile phones, whilst information is sent out automatically to them warning of potential problems and giving instant notification when a line anywhere fails. Bandwidth Monitoring for a whole site Identify the need quickly to upgrade or downgrade the line Individual monitoring for each client giving the ability to report to clients with issues and to provide dedicated bandwidth.

Open from 9AM-5:30PM, any client or centre staff member can call to log faults, get updates or speak to sales or the provisioning department. All tickets are logged using an advanced helpdesk software package and all communication comes under a strict SLA to ensure clients get the service levels they require. Any client who takes any Liquid service gets free use of this helpdesk. All telephone support is free and we can arrange onsite support at a reduced price if required by the client, thus reducing the need to outsource in-house support to another company.
