3 About this document This document describes how to connect to System4u demo environment of BlackBerry Universal Device Service. What you need Credentials - System4u will provide you login credentials in the following form. Your login name is also your address. o Username: demoxy.system4u o Password:.. These credentials are valid both for BUDS Administration console and for Exchange account. Browser - Computer connected to internet with internet browser such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. Apple device - iphone or ipad to test ios management. We recommend to use the latest version of ios to get all management features. The device must have internet access. Android device To test Android management, with OS 2.3 and higher. What you get with the demo Valid and working address and account on MS Exchange Administration access to BUDS management console Administration access to BlackBerry Management Studio You can create new local user and create your own set of management policies and configurations Ability to activate and manage mobile devices. You can use all BUDS capabilities except global settings configuration (see Demo Limitations below) Predefined set of configuration BUDS is already connected to Active Directory and Certificate services. For Apple and Android devices a special set of configuration is prepared and automatically populated to your demo account. It is described for each mobile platform in details bellow. 3

4 Respect other demo users Because administrative access is provided, you will get very high access rights. Please, respect other demo users and modify and delete only items and settings you have created yourself. Default device activation settings If you activate Apple or Android device with your demo account provided by System4u, following settings will be push and configured in your device. Please, do not modify or even delete these default settings and applications in the Administration console. You can create your own local user and test what you need. Thank you. 1. ios default activation settings Passcode: device passcode requirement automated ActiveSync account activation Restrictions: camera disabled, deny untrusted servers Pushed applications: Evernote client 2. Android default activation settings Passcode: device passcode requirement, device encryption required automated ActiveSync account activation for Touchdown client Restrictions: camera disabled Pushed applications: Evernote client, SD Card Manager, Touchdown 4

5 How to connect to BUDS Administration console and BlackBerry Management Studio In your web browser, open the page (UDS Admin console) Enter your credentials in the form demoxy.system4u Let s play! All details how to manage BUDS can be found in the BUDS Administration Guide. You can download it from the URL provided by System4u. How to activate Apple Device 3. Install BUDS client From Apple App Store download your free BES10 Client application for Mobile Device Management. Search for BES10 Client. The client name is BES10 Client. Direct link: 4. Enroll iphone or ipad To install a certificate on your device, open a browser and enter the following web address: The certificate ensures that your device recognizes the BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 server. Open BES10 Client application Enter cz.bbsecure.com/s as your management server Click the Next button Enter your credentials provided by System4u and click the Activate My Device button Click OK to install the required certificate Now all default demo settings and applications will be populated to your device. You will be prompted to enter your credentials to your demo Exchange account and also your own personal apple id (to install pushed apps). Now 5

6 you can see your device in your administration console, send policies, applications, wipe the device etc. How to activate Android device 1. Install BUDS client From Google Play (Android market) download your free BES10 client application for Mobile Device Management. Search for BES10 Client. The client name is BES10 Client Google play download: 2.
