Ruth Levine Sussman Family Fund for Breast Cancer Research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center The Sussman Family Fund for Breast Cancer Research was established by David and Ruth Sussman in 2003 to support the research of Dr. Larry Norton and Dr. Jacqueline Bromberg at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Following Ruth's death in 2005, the Sussman and Levine families have continued to raise money to support the research of Drs. Norton and Bromberg, which focuses on both preventing and effectively treating metastatic breast cancer. The EWGA Albany/Capital Region Chapter is a not-for-profit 501(c)(6) organization. All net proceeds of the Breast Cancer Golf Classic will be directly provided in equal shares to our four beneficiaries. Your donation may be tax deductible as a business expense. Bills, an active EWGA member and leader who was instrumental in building the success of this annual tournament before losing her own battle with breast cancer. The event has been a tribute to her ever since. Ruth Levine Sussman, beloved daughter of Howard Levine and sister of Neil Levine. Ruthie was an Acting Supreme Court Justice in New York County. She passed away in 2005 after a courageous 7.5 year battle with breast cancer. With your support, the money we raise from this event provides financial support to programs which help to find a cure, to provide preventive care, and to ensure women who are inflicted with this terrible disease receive the treatment they need. This year s benefit will include an 18-hole scramble golf tournament, lunch, cocktail party, dinner buffet and silent auction. In addition, our event will offer family members and friends an opportunity to create a tribute for their cherished loved ones and to come together as a community to celebrate those who have survived breast cancer and remember those who lost their battle with breast cancer. We hope you and your company will support this very special event which raises money for breast cancer prevention, treatment, research, education, and awareness.
