2 Szczecin, January 2015 Dear Fellow Badminton Players, As each year at this time we wish to invite you to take part in one of the largest sports events organized in our city since over a dozen years. The Netto Cup All-Polish Badminton Tournament, which will take place on the 14 th and 15 th of March 2015, is now at its seventeenth edition. It is one of the oldest tournaments in our country. Also with one of the largest lineups. Throughout recent years the tournament has grown at an impressive rate. Year by year more participants arrive and every few years we move the competition to even larger halls, which enable us to conduct it peacefully and effectively. In the last few years, when the turnout exceeded 200 competitors, we hold the tournament at the ZUT hall, where matches are played at as many as nine courts. In the past years we have had many occasions to watch the struggles of medalists of Polish and European Championships in various age categories. Competitors come to our tournament from all over Poland: from Tricity to Kraków, from Białystok to Jelenia Góra. We also have competitors arriving from outside of our country: Germans, Russians, French. This years we have also sent our invitations to badminton clubs from Russia, Germany, Sweden and Denmark. The tournament is also a promotion of badminton, thanks to the excellent work of media representatives. We entertain guests from TVP, Radio Szczecin, representatives of regional and trade press, who not only announce our event, but also widely report on it. For that reason, as part of the Netto Cup each year we also hold an accompanying event the Szczecin Journalists Badminton Cup. As each year we ensure professional hosting of the tournament and attractive prizes, which we are able to award you with thanks to the generosity of our amazing sponsors, among which are: Netto Polska, e-rakiety, Decathlon, Polar, Ziba, SEC, ZWiK, Fast Terminal, Bene Sport. And on Saturday evening we await you at Cafe Notabene at the Bene Sport Center, where the traditional Players Party will take place. 3 Event Name 17 th All-Polish Badminton Tournament NETTO CUP 2015 TOURNAMENT CATEGORIES: Main Senior Tournament (the score is classified in the Seniors ranking list) matches on Saturday The tournament will take place according to the applicable division into age categories based on the Badminton Senior Regulations: - gr.0 women (25+) = born gr.0 men (30+) = born gr.1 (35+) women and men born gr.2 (40+) women and men born gr.3 (45+) women and men born gr.4 (50+) women and men born gr.5 (55+) women and men born gr.6 (60+) women and men born gr.7 (65+) women and men born gr.8 (70+) women and men born gr.9 (75+) women and men born do the tournament is played in all types of games (SM, SK, DM, DK, MX), in every age category with a minimum number of 3 entries. In case of less than 3 entries, the competitors are automatically reassigned to a younger group, a participant can compete in a maximum of 2 game types, but not in 2 age categories for the same game type, an older competitor can play in a younger category, positioning according to the Badminton Senior Regulations and according to the current all-polish ranking list. Tenisowa 33 in Szczecin (9 courts). Children and youth tournaments will be held at three courts of the Bene Sport Center in Szczecin, ul. Modra 80. The tournament will take place on 14 th 15 th of March 2015: 13 th of March (Friday) Main Tournament Draw (Seniors and Open in single and double games) at 9.00 a.m. at the Bene Sport Center. Results of the draw and match schedule will be published on Friday by th of March (Saturday) Senior and Open Main Tournament in all categories. Hall opens at 8.30, opening ceremony and tournament start at Double matches start at th of March (Saturday) Players Party Bene Sport Center starting at th of March (Sunday) possible Main Tournament finals (if not concluded on Saturday) and Amateur Tournaments. Amateur Tournament draw (and matches directly afterwards) will take place on Sunday 15 th of March at The children s tournaments start at at the Bene Sport Center. The Szczecin Journalists Cup will take place on Saturday starting at Rules The tournament takes place according to the Sports Regulations and Badminton Seniors Regulations. The tournament will take place in an indirect triple group-elimination system Matches shall be played in a best of 3 set system, 21 point sets (Saturday tournament). The organizers reserve the right to change the match system after closing the entry list in each category (does not apply to the Senior Classification Tournament). Every competitor may enter up to two games of different types. Amateur may enter up to two game types in the Main Tournament and additionally appear in the Amateur Tournament on Sunday. In double matches the competitors participate in the younger one s group. The organizers provide synthetic shuttlecocks. Competitors may use other shuttlecocks in a sequence provided in the PZBad game department communication. Competitors keep score and are referees in their own matches. The tournament s primary referee is Kacper Bobala. The Main Seniors Tournament positioning is exclusively based on the all-polish Seniors ranking list. The open category positioning is based on the PZBad ranking list. The tournament is organized by the Bene Sport Center and the Bono Advertising Agency

5 Entry fees and prizes The entry fees are 30,00 PLN for single s matches and 25,00 PLN per person for double matches The fee for the Players Party is 35,00 PLN per person (price includes catering, drinks, disco and prize draw). Submissions Due to the introduction of a computer tournament administration system, please send your submissions via the entry form available at until Wednesday 11 th of March 2015 r. (applies to the Main Tournament). In case of any doubts or the need for more specification, please contact us directly at: kontakt@nettocup.pl, or by phone (Krzysztof Bobala) and (Bogdan Mieżyński) The entry submissions should include the following information: - name and surname - date of birth very important!!! - types of games and age categories in which the competitor will take part in (in case of double games it is necessary to provide the partner s name, surname and year of birth) - city, club and possible competitor license number, if applicable Submissions until the 11 th of March apply only to competitors of the Main Seniors and Open Tournament for single and double matches. ATTENTION! (VERY IMPORTANT) We will not be able to include submissions made after the 11 th of March 2015 in the draw for single and double games in the Main Seniors Tournament (Saturday matches). Amateurs are also asked to enlist via the website Amateurs may submit entries for all categories until Saturday 14 th of March by Amateurs double games can be entered directly at the hall on Sunday 15 th of March until Entries for the children s tournament are accepted via the entry form at until the 14 th of March by It will also be possible to submit an entry directly at the Bene Sport Center on the 15 th of March until The travel and accommodation costs are covered by the participants. Competitors take part in the tournament at their own responsibility and risk.

ATTENTION!!! last year we introduced a new form of rivalry CITY POINT RANKING for the Szczecin City President s Cup, which was jointly won Poznań and Sianów Compete for the title also this year. The more people from your city compete in the Netto Cup 2015 tournament, the higher the chance for the title.
