Project Development Staff attended a pre-construction meeting for the Textile Non-Motorized Path project in Ypsilanti Township and began preparing for construction staking. Staff continued the design survey on the Textile Intersections Improvement project in Ypsilanti Township. Staff has implemented a project to improve the documentation and mapping process related to the MS4 permit. Staff began witnessing centerline alignment monuments in preparation for the 2014 construction and overlay projects so that the monuments will be re-established or preserved after construction. Staff met with two property owners to explain the needs of the Island Lake Road at Wylie Road Improvement project. Staff completed the final review of the Verizon lease documents with counsel and Verizon representatives. Staff continues to monitor developments pertaining to the proposed modification of the south driveway access easement serving Yard 1. Staff developed WCRC parcel base framework for GIS application. Staff provided an update to the entity interested in pursuing a lease on the Austin Road property (Boelter pit) in Manchester Township. C. Permits & Construction Review & Permit Activities Staff received 35 new right-of-way permit applications and 12 plans during this period for review. At this time there are 182 pending right-of-way permits (applied for but not issued); 63 residential, 65 commercial, 37 utility, and 17 miscellaneous permits. Currently there are 642 active right-of-way permits (issued & awaiting completion); 286 residential, 55 commercial, 194 utility, and 107 miscellaneous permits. Staff issued 28 residential driveways, four commercial, nine utility, eight miscellaneous, and 39 transportation permits and receipted approximately $269,795 in permit fees and surety during this period. PITTSFIELD TOWNSHIP Ann Arbor-Saline Road: The Contractor has moved into Stage 2 and is working on removals and grading. Carpenter Road, Bemis Road to Merritt Road: The Contractor is working on the punch list. Carpenter Road, Packard Road to Washtenaw Avenue: The project was awarded to Angelo Iafrate Construction Co. who was the low bidder at $2,746, Work is scheduled to begin June 16th. Oak Valley Apartments: The Contractor is working on site utility work and building construction. 4
5 Versa Development (Meijer Outlots): The Contractor is working on site removals and earthwork. SALINE TOWNSHIP Feldkamp Rd Bridge over Saline River: The Contractor completed the bridge rails and paved the HMA approaches. YORK TOWNSHIP York Crest: The Contractor completed the aggregate base and is preparing to pave the HMA base course. YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP Ford Boulevard Bridge over MDOT/Amtrak Railroad: The Contractor is working to secure a permit time extension from the railroad in order to complete project work. 5
