40 SUSTAINABILITY: OPENING UP NEW PERSPECTIVES SAFEGUARDING THE FUTURE Fulfil the needs of today s generation without endangering the possibilities of future generations. This quote from the Brundtland Report of 1987 is a decisive guideline for our work. And which is integrated as a criterion in planning and realising real estate. Sustainable development contains three equally important aspects: ecology, social issues and economy. For project development, this means that we promote sustainable sites in the selection of properties. Flexible layouts, a good mixture of users, a high aesthetic standard and low life cycle costs are additional criteria.
