2 History 1986 Fibron BX established Mid 90 s Fibron BX start dealings with Unique Systems LLC 1997 Fibron BX appoint Unique Systems LLC as sole agent / distributor for UAE 2000 Fibron BX acquired by the Cortland Group Adds hose and umbilical capability to the already extensive Group focus on design / manufacture of specialist cables and ropes extending service to it s diverse customer base New management (with many years umbilical and cable experience) brought in to combine with existing staff 2004 Feb CFBX move to new manufacturing facility 2004 July / Aug CFBX open sales offices in Aberdeen and Houston 2006 major investment (braiders / extruders and larger lay-up machine) 2006 / 07 Cortland Group project an annual turnover of $ 45 Million
