2 AMERICAN ENGLISH PROGRAM NYC & Miami South Beach Vacation N Learn No Student Visa Required Learn and Enjoy (16 lessons per week): This non-visa program allows you to improve your English skills while taking advantage of our NYC and Miami locations. Classes meet Monday through Thursday, 4 lessons each day, mornings or afternoons. Improve your conversation skills and pronunciation while you build vocabulary, learn idioms, and grammar in context. Practice your English during interesting activities in NYC and Miami South Beach. You can combine this Vacation N Learn course with one of our Arts Plus programs such as Dance, Fashion, Music, Photography, Make-Up Artistry, Kite Surfing, or DJ Academy. Rapid Progress 20 Student Visa Required Improve (20 lessons per week): This semi-intensive English program enables you to achieve rapid progress while having plenty of time for fun activities in NYC or Miami. All classes emphasize conversation skills, grammar in context and lots of vocabulary, idioms and pronunciation help. Classes meet for 4 lessons a day, mornings or afternoons. You can combine this English course with one of our Arts Plus programs such as Dance, Fashion, Music, Photography, Make-Up Artistry, Kite Surfing or DJ Academy. There is plenty of time for exciting activities and excursions in NYC and Miami South Beach. Rapid Progress 30 Student Visa Required Improve Quickly (30 lessons per week): Our most intensive English program includes 6 lessons per day, from the morning until afternoon to make faster progress. Improve your conversation skills and pronunciation while you build vocabulary, learn idioms, and grammar in context. Customize your course with specialized afternoon electives in TOEFL or TOEIC preparation, English through American Films, Fluency, and Cultural Differences and Current Events, to name a few. Keep improving during Rennert s evening and weekend activities and excursions in NYC or Miami. 3 BUSINESS ENGLISH for FUTURE PROFESSIONALS New York City & Miami South Beach 20 lessons per week; student visa required Now available in intermediate and upper-intermediate levels This unique course designed for future professionals (ages 17-26) will put you on track to a successful career by familiarizing you with American business concepts and strategies in English. Improve your communication skills to prepare for the workplace and develop business vocabulary essential for staying ahead in today s global economy. 5 Intermediate Level Required Weekly modules covered include: Marketing Leadership The World Economy Money and Finance Branding Current Business Topics and more Total program duration is 16 weeks, but students may join any Monday. If you are at Rennert s Level 7 or above, you may enhance this course with an added internship option (see facing page).

4 BUSINESS ENGLISH IN ACTION / VACATION Here s how it works: AND + Business English in Action VOLUNTEER (Student Visa and Skype interview required) NYC & Miami South Beach Upper Intermediate Level Required Add one of these internship options to your Business English or Vacation N Learn course. Practice all you ve learned in class in a reallife business environment in either New York City or Miami South Beach. Each city offers a variety of fields in which to practice your English communication skills. You will study Business English during weeks 1 and 2 and attend 2 workshops for resume building and interview techniques. During weeks 3 to 16 you will attend Business English class 20 lessons per week, then begin to put your English skills to the test in a business setting. Sample fields: Marketing, Public Relations, Architecture, Fashion, Hospitality, IT and the Arts. + Vacation and Volunteer (Skype interview required) Vacation N Learn (4 weeks) Volunteer (4 to 8 additional weeks) Start with 4 weeks of General English classes and attend 2 workshops for resume building and interview techniques. During the 4 to 8 weeks that follow, put your English to the test in a business setting. Sample fields: Marketing, Public Relations, Architecture, Fashion, Hospitality, IT and the Arts.

5 ENGLISH for ACADEMIC PURPOSES NYC & Miami South Beach 5 Intermediate Level Required 20 lessons per week; Student Visa required Rennert offers English for Academic Purposes to help you learn the skills you will need to succeed in academic life in universities here or abroad. This semi-intensive Academic English course is offered at the intermediate level and above to prepare you for your academic future. Small classes with 10 students or fewer focus on critical thinking skills and strategies, research techniques, academic writing, reading, listening, and note-taking skills which are essential for academic success. Program duration 2 to 30 weeks. Academic Year / Academic Semester (24, 36 and 48 weeks) Take advantage of reduced, long-term pricing in a Semester or Academic Year immersion in the English language and culture. Students can study in two destinations at Rennert s NYC and SoBe locations. 6 GAP YEAR / UNIVERSITY COMBINATION PROGRAMS Experience college life in NYC and earn college credits toward a degree. Spend 6 months or longer in NYC improving your English and preparing for college classes at Berkeley College in midtown Manhattan. First, take a minimum of 12 weeks of English to prepare for university life. Then transfer to Berkeley College where students choose among credit-bearing courses in Business, Fashion Business, Principles of Marketing and Management, or Business Law. NEW Business classes bear three credits each and cover subjects that include Business Organization and Management, Principles of Management, and Principles of Marketing. Learn how businesses are organized and managed alongside American and international coeds. Discuss case studies and learn the Manager s role in business while you discover the importance of the marketing mix, market research and consumer behavior. Fashion Business classes bear three credits each and cover an introduction to the Fashion Business, an overview of the textile industry for both apparel and home as well as the visual merchandising and color theory that make clothing sell. Study with American and international students to learn about planning and inventory control, markdowns, and more. Law classes bear three credits each and take you through an introduction to the U.S. legal system, trial and appellate courts, contracs and more. Business Law focuses on contracts, commerce, property and sales.

7 TEST PREPARATION NYC & Miami South Beach TOEFL Success Intermediate Level Required (20 lessons per week, minimum 4 weeks) PREPARE Rennert s TOEFL Success program will help you achieve the score you need to enter university. Students learn key strategies for success in all areas of the internetbased test including reading, writing, speaking and listening. Weekly practice tests and student progress reports will keep you on track for success! Course meets for 4 lessons per day with only 10 students per class to allow for maximum progress. Rennert can assist in registering for the TOEFL exam on the ETS website: Cambridge Exams (30 lessons per week, 10- and 12- week courses) GET YOUR CERTIFICATE Intensive preparation for the University of Cambridge Exams. Learn strategies for all sections of the test and practice with past papers. Requires a qualifying pre-test. FCE (First Certificate of English) CAE (Certificate of Advanced English) TOEIC Preparation (30 lessons per week, NYC only) PREPARE FOR & TAKE THE TEST Choose Rennert s TOEIC preparation program which includes 20 lessons of General English in the morning followed by test-taking strategies and practice tests in the afternoon. Rennert is an institutional TOEIC test center and the test is administered once a month in our NYC school. I have the great honor to inform you that I obtained 102 on the TOEFL! You ll receive a certificate of completion from our Arts Plus partners when your program is finished. Dance / English (2 weeks minimum, all English levels) STEPS ON BROADWAY Experience New York City s dance scene with Rennert s English Plus Dance at Steps on Broadway. Study English four lessons per day then take dance classes in a variety of styles such as hip hop, jazz, street, tap, and ballet. Music / English (2 weeks minimum; intermediate + level of English required) Develop your musical talent at the prestigious Kaufman Music Center, one of the finest community performing arts schools in the U.S. Take private instructions from professional musicians in voice training and nearly all instruments. (Please bring your own instrument.) Super-Intensive Filmmaking or Acting / English (8 weeks total; Student Visa, highschool diploma and transcript, and intermediate + level of English required for Filmmaking. Advanced level of English for Acting) Earn 4 credits recommended for transfer from New York Film Academy in their intensive Filmmaking or Acting workshops. Combine your 16- or 20-lesson English course with 15 hours per week of fashion classes at LIM College in the heart of NYC. Get a handson look at the fashion industry, and learn from professionals in fashion buying, merchandising, fashion forecasting, trendspotting, and more. Make-up Artistry / English (9 weeks total; intermediate + level of English required) The Lia Schorr Institute offers a certificate course in professional make-up application techniques. Students practice English 16, 20, or 30 lessons per week at Rennert, then attend make-up classes in the evening at the Lia Schorr Institute where you will receive instruction from top make-up experts in the field. This 50-hour certificate course features small, hands-on classes that focus on the proper use of application tools, color theory, highlighting, contouring, and corrective techniques. Photography / English (1-day, 3-week and 6-week courses available; intermediate + level of English required) Enjoy amateur photography courses taught by experienced photographers at a boutique photography studio. PhotoUno Studio offers crash courses in Digital Photography and Photographing New York City. This course can be combined with a 16- or 20-lesson English course. You will practice English with New Yorkers while you see the city and learn about photography. Bring your own digital camera. Introduction to 3D Animation / English (4 weeks total; intermediate level of English and knowledge of basic graphics applications required) At Digital Film Academy, creativity and technical learning are emphasized in their friendly environment. You ll learn to create a digital character for animation, develop a final product, and build a solid basis for future 3D projects.
