6 I AM WE ARE Sharing is what Cantina Cooperativa della Riforma Fondiaria di Ruvo of Puglia is based on. The winery was born in 1960 thanks to a group of winemakers who decided to put the concept of Us before the idea of Me. To be and to work together in order to achieve more. I KNOW WE KNOW 1020 business partners combine their experience and share their agrarian and enological knowledge, their support and technology, all things that are hard to find in a single grower. The result: a constant improvement of the harvest and of the final produce. I AM A WINEMAKER WE ARE GREAT WINEMAKERS The soil, the vine, the plantation and the grape harvest: hard work regulated by nature and its variable. Every partner here share their experience and knowledge. Here s where the grape becomes wine and virtue, equally shared.

8 LANDS CLOSE TO THE SEA BREEZE SOOTHING THE VINEYARDS LANDS COMING FROM THE STONE AND STILL CHERISHING ITS MEMORY The entire Puglia region slopes down to the sea. Particularly the area of Castel del Monte is always sunny, but never too hot, and there s always a breeze. The vines are dried and touched by sea breeze. This special climate allows us to avoid every unnecessary treatment in order to preserve the fruit the best we can. Every produce of these lands, from Murge to Conca di Bari, and Ruvo di Puglia, is the result of thousand-year old endeavor. These lands are full of promises because of the values they preserve and the natural gifts they received. It s not coincidence the wine produced here is now appreciated in Italy and the entire world.

10 ONCE UPON A TIME, 3200 YEARS AGO IT WERE CALLED NERO DI TROIA The Trojan war is over. Diomedes and his men return to Argo and they stop in Puglia on their way, in the area of Ruvo. They give the farmers shoots of vine they brought with them. The result is a wine that charms them and keeps them there longer. The name of this wine is today a DOCG in memory of that long war. Not an improvised wine indeed Diomedes was the hero of civilization and according to the legend, he founded many towns in Puglia. His statue here is a Roman copy of the original Greek ( B.C.). The statue is at the Gliptoteca in Munich. THAT CASTLE ON THE HILL If the world were what puer Apuliae Frederick II of Swabia had dreamed of, it would be a world of tolerance, appreciation for beauty and for the fruits of the land. According to many, Castel del Monte is the most beautiful castle in the world. It rises on the hills surrounded by vines. Maybe the Emperor was already our client what kind of wine would have they served with fowl if not ours? THAT CATHEDRAL IN THE HEART OF RUVO Severe and benevolent, the Grifone guards and protects. The ancient builders put it on the front of the cathedral of Ruvo to protect the village and the believers. We chose it as signature of our prestigious wine because of the values it evokes, in order for it to guard and protect the result of our daily work: the vine and the wine.

It requires passion, knowledge and experience to present itself at his best. Our finest local white grape, this wine is modern, enjoyable and very trendy. A very unique red grape gives this wine a rosé must. Castel del Monte was the first area in Puglia to gain the Controlled Designation of Origin Guaranteed title for rosé wines. Coming from a sweet, Muscat aromatic grape, this wine is perfect with dessert, fresh and salty cheese. Local vine, the result of a recent discovery, this wine shows the best characteristics of Castel del Monte area.
