Next, visit a cheese factory for a live demonstration of how they make mozzarella. After a walk through the old town s small alleys, enjoy lunch in a typical trattoria. Back to hotel where there will be your first hands-on cooking class. Overnight. 3rd day Breakfast. Depart in the early morning for Monopoli to visit the local fruit and vegetable market, where you may pick out the food for the day s cooking lesson. Next, it s on to the picturesque town of Polignano a Mare to admire the impressive panoramas from the seaside terraces. After lunch, return to the masseria for you next cooking class, which is all about perfecting pizza, focaccia, and other local specialties, such as panzerotti, taralli. Dinner and Overnight. 4 rd day Breakfast. In the morning, take a drive through Itria Valley to visit Alberobello, the Unesco World Heritage Site known for its fairytale trulli. After visit a renowned factory for a taste of the local cold cut, capocollo. Next, move on to Locorotondo, a beautiful town in the Itria valley, to have an aperitivo, as a light lunch, like the locals do. Back at the masseria, take part in your next cooking class to learn about traditional Italian and Apulian dishes. Many use simple ingredients like vegetables and legumes.
