Imperia has been always known as the olive oil town, thanks to the famous producer Olio Carli and to the taggiasca olives, that grows abundant on the hills of the Imperia s valleys. The Relais del Maro offers to its clients the possibilities to spend few relaxing days in touch with the nature and exploring the secrets of the olives plantation and tasting some of the best olive oils in the area. 2 Flavours and scents of Liguria A trip through the products that more represent our beloved Liguria: first of all the olive oil, our treasure and part of the story and tradition of every ligurian family and the most important wines: pigato, vermentino, rossese and ormeasco. This wine and food tour will also includes a visit to a basil and pesto producer, product that is now simbol of Liguria in the world. This journey will not only includes products to taste, but also scents and products made with our local lavender, typical of the Prino Valley, where we will take our guest for a visit to a distillery. 3 Discovering the Argentina valley On the border with our valley, the Impero valley, winds another beautiful valley, the Argentina valley, rich as well of landscape beauties and good things to taste. Leaving from Borgomaro through the internal road, our guests will discover the real Liguria, with its narrow roads and landscapes that go from mountain, to hill to and arriving to the coast. Passing the Passo Teglia you will arrive in the gotic Triora, with its stone houses and its alleys rich of stories and legends associated to the witches. But apart from the witches, Triora and the Argentina Valley are known also for its typical products such as bread, conserves, patè, bakery products ( canestrelli) and briar rooth pipes are just part of the goodies you will taste at La Strega di Triora shop and in the other local shops in the area. 5 Masterchef of Liguria Are you ready to became the first Masterchef of Liguria? In only a couple of days you eill be a profi of the ligurian cuisine, thans to the teaching of our cook Danila, from the Agriturismo Dinoabbo, and perfect cake designer, with the help of the dynamic Penelope. The first day, after the shopping to find the ingredients of our dishes, the menu you will prepare pesto, focaccia and ravioli, that you will then taste at the end of the course, together with a cold wine glass. After this full immersion in the Liguria, it s time for dessert: a 2 hours cake design course, that will teach on how to create cake that will make your kids happy and that wil amaze all your friends.
