Develop and provide research-based, practical educational programs and resources related to health for use by AgriLife Extension faculty, volunteer leaders, clientele, agencies, organizations, and professional associations. Work collaboratively with local, state, and national Extension initiatives, and issues teams, task forces, agencies, special interests groups, and committees. Serve as the primary conduit between research scientists and county agents in providing researchbased information and support for county-based educational programs in health education. Work closely with Regional Program Directors, individuals, and groups on health issues and concerns at the grassroots level. Take the knowledge and technology generated through research to design educational programs that address the identified issues. Originate or acquire teaching curricula, publications, and other materials that agents use in their county programs. Design, implement, and conduct field demonstrations, applied research trials, and evaluation research in conjunction with county agents, research counterparts, and clientele. Conduct the technical underpinning of AgriLife Extension educational programs in counties and statewide to link solutions with identified problems and to document program impact. Provide leadership for AgriLife Extension educational and training programs in adult health education (across the lifespan) and master wellness worksite volunteers. Continually expand knowledge base and competencies through direct involvement in research, interaction with researchers, literature reviews, technical conferences, and other professional development activities. Share subject matter expertise and updated information with county agents through structured training sessions that target specific competency and/or experience levels or through other communications including newsletters, study guides, web sites, or other ways.

Provide expertise in adult health (across the lifespan) to various clientele organizations, state and federal agencies, and other groups at state, regional, and national levels. In forging partnerships with these groups, leverage budgeted resources with grants, contracts, and in-kind services that help support county and state educational outreach programs.
