2 WALLACE CURRICULUM VITAE 2 Positive Aspects of Cancer from the Perspective of Cancer Survivors (Research Associate; Dr. Gail Adorno, LCSW, PI) Project with an interdisciplinary team analyzing qualitative, openended questions within a secondary dataset from the ACS Survivors of Cancer Studies II. We are examining a question related to positive aspects of cancer survivors who are 2, 5, and 10 years post-treatment present The Impact of a Death and Dying Course in Social Work Education (Principle Investigator) Collaborative, mixed methods research analyzing data (death anxiety and death attitude scales; student journals) from multiple sections of a Death and Dying course The Importance of Family Relationships on the Decision to Enroll in Hospice Care (Principle Investigator) 18 qualitative interviews with hospice patients and families (through Community Hospice of Texas) This was a pilot project for my dissertation. I developed a questionnaire and interview guide, as well as tested quantitative measures for use in my dissertation Use of grounded theory in data analysis Unmet Needs of Cancer Survivors (Graduate Research Assistant for Dr. Gail Adorno, LCSW; Dr. Mary Ann Burg, LCSW, PI) Member of an interdisciplinary team which developed a systematic analytical method for analyzing qualitative, openended questions within a national survey (secondary dataset was from the ACS Survivors of Cancer Studies II). We examined a question related to unmet needs of cancer survivors who are 2, 5, and 10 years post-treatment A Mother s Role: The Impact of Trauma on Parenting (Graduate Research Assistant, Dr. Joan Blakey, MSW, PI) Conducted qualitative interviews with women currently involved with Child Protective Services on the role of trauma in their lives (through New Connections agency). Use of NVivo for data analysis Play It Safe: Efficacy of a Children s Sexual Abuse Curriculum (Graduate Research Assistant, Dr. Joan Blakey, MSW, PI) Worked in partnership with The Women s Center of Tarrant County to create pre/post-tests for their sexual abuse curriculum. Conducted trainings on implementation of instruments Developed SPSS database for data management and analysis
