14 Summarizing Inundated Area District-wise Open:ARCGIS AttributeTable of the fldlayer combined with district (fldist) by right clicking on the layer And go to options and click select by attributes/the define expression gridcode=1 Using query select grid code=1, open attribute table, select district name column & right click select summarize

22 Cyclone HUDHUD- Track Very severe Cyclonic Storm HUDHUD over west central Bay of Bengal made landfall at Andhra Pradesh coast on 12th October 2014 causing heavy damage to Vishakhapatnam city, including the airport, a number of buildings, electrical & telecommunication supplies and roads copyright NRSC/ISRO

23 Cyclone HUDHUDHUDHUD- Monitoring copyright NRSC/ISRO Vishakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Vizainagram & East Godavari were severely affected due to strong gale winds and inundation.

26 Jammu& Kashmir FloodsFloods- NRSC/ISRO Efforts Severe floods were reported in Jammu & Kashmir during first week of September, Srinagar Heavy rains coupled with rise in the water levels of Jhelum river had led to flooding in the districts of Anantnag, Pulwama, Badgam, Kulgam, Rajouri etc. DSC/ NRSC had mapped and monitored this event (8-23-Sep2014) in near real time using satellite data from RISAT-1, RESOURCESAT-1 & 2, CARTOSAT-1 & 2 and other foreign satellite data. Value added products like flood inundation maps, persistence and recession maps, cumulative flood maps, annotated satellite image maps were generated and disseminated to MHA, NDMA, CWC, IMD and Govt. of J & K. L-150km W-42km E m The information was also uploaded on Bhuvan, NRSC and NDEM web portals.
