3 Application Enablement Services Virtual Campus Offer Description Synopsis This learning opportunity includes material and activities for the Application Enablement Services offer. It provides unlimited access to self-paced content over a 6-month period through Avaya Learning s Virtual Campus in AvayaLive Engage. When new content is added, notifications are sent to subscribers of this offer. The purpose of this offer is to teach students how to implement and maintain Presence Services. It provides an opportunity for students to enhance their product knowledge and gain practical understanding of Presence Services, including implementation and maintenance. 5 About this Guide Introduction This guide will help you prepare for a visit to the Application Enablement Services floor by providing direction and helpful navigation information. It also briefly describes the learning opportunities (learning objects and interactive experiences) available. Rooms and Objects The purpose of the Application Enablement Services floor is to provide students the theoretical knowledge required to achieve the overall offer learning objectives. The map below illustrates the floor layout, including room names and locations, the PODs, and meeting rooms. Use it to locate and teleport to topics of interest and content that meets your unique requirements. (See the section While on the Learning Floor for more information about teleporting from the lobby to specific rooms.) 6 - PODs The Avaya ACE Core and Applications floor features two PODs. They can be used for informal student gatherings and conversations. A POD on the learning floor - E-Books Many learning objects are available in e-book format for viewing on iphone/ipad and Android devices. Locate and download the files from the e-book stand found near the entrance in each learning room. Avaya Learning recommends downloading the ReadMe document (ReadMe.doc) for tips on viewing the learning objects. To download the files, do the following: 1. Click on the stand to reveal the file list 2. Select a file by clicking it 3. Follow the on-screen directions provided by the browser for downloading and saving the file Page 6

9 - Using the URL for the Avaya Learning Virtual Campus (cont'd) The teleporter will move your avatar to the Application Enablement Services Lobby. Walk into or click the teleporter. When prompted, login with your user ID and password. Enter the teleporter to reach the Application Enablement Services lobby Application Enablement Services lobby The Floor Map and Companion Guide are to the left of the avatar and the teleporter to the Ground Floor is to the right of the avatar. 10 - Using the Floor-specific URL Using the floor-specific URL ( bby) to access the floor will also place your avatar in the lobby. - While on the Learning Floor View the floor map to locate the room you wish to enter. For a first-time visitor, Avaya Learning recommends beginning with Room 11, Introduction and Overview. Use the teleport function to reach a room quickly. Here is how to do it: 1. Move closer to the floor map 2. Hover your mouse over the name of the room you wish to visit until you see the word TELEPORT 3. Click in the box containing the room name The mouse is hovering over the name of a room to visit. Page 10
11 Move clockwise around the room. To start a learning object, move your avatar close to the monitor and click within the monitor s borders. The learning object will open in a separate window if your computer s browser settings allow pop-ups. The student will left click within the monitor to view the AE Services 6.3 Implementation Overview learning object in a new window. To return to the lobby, hover the mouse over the Teleport to Lobby panel by the room entrance until TELEPORT appears. Next, click the button above TELEPORT. The avatar is preparing to teleport back to the lobby. Page 11
