4 the history //Commonly known as Monti s La Casa Vieja, the C.T. Hayden House originated as a typical, single-story Sonoran row house built for the family of Charles Trumbell Hayden in Four years later, Carl Hayden, deemed the most important person in Arizona history, was born in the residence and it later became recognized as the oldest continuously occupied structure in Greater hoenix. Through the years, this structure has evolved from a family residence to a boarding house, and ultimately restored to what would become an iconic restaurant for nearly 70 years. Dubbed La Casa Vieja, the building is a critical piece of Tempe history and is now the oldest remaining building in the Salt River Valley. 3 4

10 the retail //The historic Hayden House presents a timeless opportunity for a food and beverage concept to occupy a landmark building. Up to 10,000 square feet of interior space, flowing to outdoor patio dining, anchors. This truly unique and iconic location will transform one of Arizona s oldest standing adobe buildings into a fully updated restaurant which will be a destination venue for generations to come. The boutique hotel at will be immediately adjacent to the Hayden House and will feature 2,900 square feet of retail fronting Tempe s active Mill Avenue District.
