24 Aluva is unprecedented in offering a new brand of bespoke luxury chocolates that are the first ever halal chocolate brand to be fully certified by the Halal Monitoring Committee (HMC) in the UK. Halal ( ) refers to something which is permissible to consume or use, or any action which is permitted according to the principles of Islam. We feel there is a need for halal certification to authenticate genuine halal chocolates and set them apart from chocolates that may have been considered permissible but are strictly speaking not halal (such as those labelled suitable for vegetarians and alcohol-free ).

25 Product Information Allergy & Dietary Information Our chocolates contain dairy. Our chocolate products are not suitable for nut allergy sufferers. All our chocolate products are suitable for vegetarians. Ingredients: Our chocolates (depending on the variety) contain Cocoa Solids (minimum 33% for and 70.5% for ), Skimmed Milk Powder, Butter Cream, Sorbitol, Glucose, Sugar, Flavourings (including Vanilla Extract), Nuts, Natural Honey and Praline. None of our products contain any alcohol. All our products are HMC Halal Certified. The majority of our flavourings are natural flavourings. Where possible, we use natural essential oils and spices. We do not use artificial preservatives. Storage & Shelf Life All of our products have a minimum shelf life of 6 months (up to 9 to 12 months depending on the product) provided that you keep them in a cool, dry, odourless place, and out of direct sunlight where the temperature does not exceed 21º C. Humidity should remain below 60%.
