1 Lexington Chinese School Online Class Registration Step-by-step Instructions Introduction Account Setup Add Your Family Profile Register Your Children for Classes

2 I. Introduction The instructions guide you through LCS Online Class Registration system to 1. Create an account and login 2. Add your family profile 3. Register your children for classes (Available later.) LCS Online Class Registration can be accessed from any web browser on your PC, tablets (ipads and other tablets), smart phones with Internet connection. The web address of LCS Online Class Registration is chinese.org Before you start, here are what you need to know: 1. You need only one account per family, if a new kid are eligible for school, his/her name will need to be added to the account/family profile before registration can start. 2. The actions for account creation and family profile setup are required only once. Family will be using the same account/credential to register LCS courses for future years. 3. All families are strongly encouraged to create their account and family profile before the official registration starts in May. 4. The action/pages where users can select/register courses for their kids will not be open/available until LCS official registration date starts. 5. Currently, LCS online registration system does not support online payment, thus the registration process is not completed until the registration checks are submitted to LCS registration director. Please follow the steps specified on the summary page after you complete your online registration. 2

3 II. Account Setup Step 1: Click on the Create Account link on the top right hand corner. Step 2: Enter your address for user name. Enter and confirm your password. Click on the Create Account button. 3

4 Note: After you click on the button, you will see the following notice for confirmation page. However, your account setup process is NOT completed yet. Please follow step 3 to continue the account setup process. Step 3: Check the inbox of your for the confirmation letter from noreply@lcs chinese.org. Note: The mail might be in your inbox, spam or junk folder. Please check there and add noreply@lcs chinese.org to your address book to properly receive for the online system. Click on the link in the to confirm your account setup. 4

5 Once you complete the account setup, you will see the confirm page for successful setup. Otherwise, the error page will show. If that is the case, please try again or contact the school staff. Step 4: Now you can login to your LCS Online Class Registration account by clicking on the Login link on the top right hand corner. 5

6 Enter your and password. Click on the Login button to login to your account. Once you are logged in, your will appear on the top right hand corner. 6

7 III. Add Your Family Profile Step 1: Make sure you are logged in. On the front page, click on the First Read the Instructions button. Before you add your family profile, read the registration instructions. The registration instructions will be updated later with the accurate information from the current school year. Step 2: On the bottom of the instructions page, click on Next Your Family Profile. 7

8 A new family profile page will show. Step 3: Enter your family data. Family ID: You can find your family ID from the school directory. If you forget your family ID, check the box. Parents: Enter your Chinese and English name, and address. If you cannot type in Chinese or have no Chinese name, enter your English name. The school uses address to send you our newsletters and other major information. Please make sure the address can reach you. If you are a single parent, please use delete button to remove the second parent row. A empty parent row is not allowed. 8

9 Students: Enter the Chinese and English name, gender and birthday of your children who you would like to enroll. If you cannot type in Chinese or have no Chinese name, enter English name. Use Add New Student and Delete button to add or remove a new row for each additional child. A empty student row is not allowed. Contact Information: Enter your home address and phone numbers. Mobile Phone #1 is the emergency number we use to reach you during the school hour or any other emergency. All data fields are required. 9

10 Language Background: This is a small survey to understand the languages you use at home to help teachers understand your children better. This is optional but you are encouraged to fill in this information. Step 4: Once you enter all your information, double check and click on the Save Family Profile button to save your information. Step 5: Once it is saved, you now can review your family profile on each tab. If you would like to change any information, please click on the Edit Family Profile button to edit the profile. 10

12 IV. Register Your Children for Classes Step 1: Make sure you are logged in. On the front page, click on the Next Class Registration button. Before you start, please make sure all information in your family profile is correct, especially every child you would like to enroll. A new registration form will show: Step 2: Start the student registration Language/Extracurricular Class Registration: Use the drop down list to select your first and second picks for language class, 1 2PM extracurricular class and 4 5PM extracurricular class. If you do not want to enroll in the extracurricular classes, leave it blank. You can also only enter your first pick of the classes without the second pick. However, if the class of the first pick is full, your child may not be enrolled in any class if the second pick is not entered. 12

13 Parent Duty Deposit/Fee: You will have two choices: Option 1: Participate the parent duty. You will be required to write a check with $60 parent duty deposit. On this form, you will enter your check number for your duty deposit check. The duty deposit will be returned back to you once you complete your parent duty. Option 2: Opt out the parent duty. You will be required to pay $50 parent duty fee. On this form, you will check Opt Out Parent Duty? checkbox. 13

14 If you are to be a teacher, staff or PTA in the coming school year, your parent duty will be waived. On this form, check the checkbox to indicate so. Donation: Enter your donation amount and indicate its purpose for the school. We thank you for your generosity. Comments: Enter your comments and questions about the registration. We appreciate your suggestions about the registration process. Waiver for Claims and Responsibility Agreement: Enter your digital signature with your name that matches one you enter in your family profile. If you do not want your child s pictures showing on LCS website, please check the checkbox. 14

15 LCS Safety Consent Form: Read the consent form and enter your digital signature with your name that matches one you enter in your family profile. Step 3: Review your registration (This is NOT the final step) Click on Next Save & Review. The review page will come up with all previously entered information and your tuition breakdown. 15

16 Step 4: If you would like to edit the registration, click on Continue to Edit Registration button. If you are not certain about your registration, you can pause here without submitting your registration form. The data will be saved in the online system. You may come back in later time to finish the process. 16

17 Step 5: Once you complete the review and your are ready to submit your registration form, click on Submit your Registration button. The final registration submission will be displayed with instruction for turning in your tuition checks. The registration process is NOT completed WITHOUT the school receives your checks. The page will show your time of registration and your registration number, which indicates your priority. Step 6: If you find out there is any error on your registration form, click on Edit Your Registration button to edit the registration. Please NOTE: Editing your registration will set back your registration priority! 17

18 After the warning, click Edit Registration button to continue the edit of the registration. This will bring you back to the registration form. Once your finish your edits, you can save, review, and/or submit your registration. Step 7: Your final registration will be saved in your family profile. You will be able to access it from Your Registrations tab. 18
