19 CERNET+IPv6 Cloud Services: Requirements CERNET+IPv6 Cloud Services (2015) According to a survey to more than 1000 universities which was conducted by the marketing department of CERNET Corp in July 2015, the data shows that in the Network Value Added Services category, the first 2 services that customers want the most are Federated Identity Management and Video Conference meeting services. So, our goal is to launch the following services at first: Federated Identity Management Video Conference Service eduroam

20 CERNET+IPv6 Cloud Services Platform: 2015 Goals Setup the CERNET+ team and recruit people Form the CERNET+ Advisory Board Sign an MOU with Internet2 Establish CERNET+ IPv6 Cloud Services rules and processes Promote CERNET+ to all universities in all possible events Onboarding eduroam services in at least 3 more universities Discuss and finalize the Federated Identity Management solution on CERNET+ Cloud Services Platform, and start to implement Select one video conference service provider, get ready to provide cloud based services

24 2. Federated Identity Management Goal To build a unified, secure, federated identity management service for CERNET, and provide ID management, authentication, security and single sign on (SSO). Video Conference Service Provide video conference service via CERNET+ IPv6 Cloud Services Platform to CERNET customers The customers do not need to invest in expensive MCUs and other servers, they can only buy or rent, or use their existing terminal devices, and subscribe to the video conference service Video Conference users have dedicated domain in.edu.cn and account names. CERNET+ is in charge of the naming schema, managing accounts, pricing and billing of video conference services in CERNET Interconnectivity: ability to connect to the users outside of CERNET, domestic or international (while complying with a standard) Mobility: support video conferencing on laptops, handhelds, and smart phones Protect the existing investment Partner with a 3 rd party video conference service provider Video conference services from NET+
