2 WHO IS INVITED The annual tournament involves the best Polish football clubs, including CRACOVIA Kraków,, LECH Poznań, LECHIA Gdańsk, LEGIA Warszawa, ZAGŁĘBIE Lubin, as well as invited foreign clubs, such as the famous EVERTON FC Liverpool, FC BATE Borisov, BOHEMIANS Prague, HAMBURG, Vfl Bochum and BORUSSIA Dortmund, who participated in previous years and we invite all interested teams boys and girls (Under 14 Category), even those with small and unknown village! In this year's winter edition of the competition, which was held in the Show & Sports Hall of Gdynia Arena on won the famous German team Bayer 04 Leverkusen. During the AG SUMMER CUP 2015 under 14: 1 st place-arka Gdynia, 2 nd place for IFK HANINGE Stockholm Sweden!

3 ARKA GDYNIA CUP OBJECTIVES Every edition of the tournament are open for all teams willing to join, including the most popular teams, local clubs, and teams from small sport centres from almost every region of Poland, as well as from abroad. The games are played on several pitches. What is more, we offer a variety of integration and educational activities which make the event very attractive and useful in the development of social skills of young participants from different parts of Europe. PROJECT AGC 2016 are: RESPECT, EDUCATION, FOOTBALL, INTEGRATION.

4 HISTORY OF THE CLUB: Arka Gdynia Football Club was founded in 1929 and has a rich history. The biggest success of the club was winning the Polish Cup in 1979 and playing in the 1/16 of final U.E.F.A. Cup Winners Cup in the season 1979/1980. The most famous Arka players include: top scorer of the Polish League 1972, a three-time FIFA World Cup finals participant and a medalist, FIFA World Cup GERMANY 74, second highest goalscorer Andrzej Szarmach and two-time FIFA World Cup finals participant and a medalist of FIFA World Cup ESPANA 82 Janusz Kupcewicz Tournament Ambassador of ARKA GDYNIA SUMMER CUP Legend of our Club. So far Arka has played 12 seasons in Polish 1. Extraklasa. The Arka players and the youth teams are very successful on both domestic and international levels. GDYNIA CITY: Gdynia is a coastal port city situated by the Baltic Sea, the Gulf of Gdańsk in Pomerania, being part of the Tri-City (together with Gdańsk and Sopot). It received city rights in Gdynia is one of the youngest and most modern Polish cities, it has been built to provide Poland with another access to the sea. Although its history is quite short, it has witnessed II World War and probably the biggest national tragedy of the twentieth century in Poland. On 17 December 1970, the communist government issued orders to shoot to their countrymen - the youth and workers who were on their way to schools and workplaces at that time. 19 people aged 15 to 35 were murdered, and more than 1,000 were injured from gunshots of the People s Army of Poland and militia. Currently Gdynia is a city with a beautiful yacht marina and many attractive and new business and sports venues. A beautiful beach located in the very city centre, a multitude of bars, restaurants and discos, as well as an undoubtedly attractive Gdynia Aquarium, allures plenty of tourists, even in winter. For those who like to immerse themselves in a dream, a visit to the picturesque Orłowo District is a must. There, whilst walking on the wooden pier, you will admire a beautiful view of the cliff and visit a charming Promenade of Queen Marysieńka as well as the Żeromski House.

5 ADVENTURE AND SCIENCE Football itself is not the main purpose of the project - it is only a means to create a tolerant environment, where other people s cultural values are mutually respected. Football gives us the opportunity to meet each other in a given place and time, in order to explore Gdynia together, to learn about the city s rich maritime and Kashubian heritage, and to teach young people correct attitude towards each other, regardless of one s core values, skin colour, or native customs.
