From 2007 to 2008 she was the Quality/Compliance Coordinator at Shasta Regional Medical Center. Ms. Bish has been the Clinical Nurse Leader at Vibra Hospital of Northern California since October of Ms. Bish comes well qualified to assume her responsibilities as Associate Degree Nursing Instructor at Shasta College beginning with the 2013 Fall Semester on or about August 16, The starting annual salary range is $42,196-$76,790 (175-day assignment) commensurate with previous education and experience. Thomas Daniel (Dan) Bryant, Automotive Instructor, received his AA in Automotive Technology from Shasta College in Since then, he has managed and owned Bryant Automotive in Redding. He taught a variety of automotive courses at Shasta College from 1993 to 2001, and became an adjunct again in He has also taught smog update courses at his business since Mr. Bryant s teaching experience and connections in the community make him well qualified to become Shasta College s full-time Automotive Instructor beginning with the 2013 Fall Semester on or about August 16, The starting salary range is $42,196-$76,790 (175-day temporary assignment) commensurate with previous education and experience. Michelle DeOchoa, Educational College Counselor, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from CSU Fresno in 2004 and her Master of Science Degree in Counseling and Student Services with an option in Higher Education in From 2008 to 2012, Ms. DeOchoa worked as a SSS Advising Specialist at West Hills College Coalinga. Since 2012, Ms. DeOchoa has served at West Hills College Coalinga as their EOPS/SSS Counselor. Box , Redding, CA Corrected Page TO: BOARD OF TRUSTEES DATE: 06/12/13 FROM: INITIATOR: SUBJECT: Joe Wyse, Superintendent/President Joe Wyse, Superintendent/President GOVERNING BOARD S SELF-EVALUATION ITEM NO.: 9.2 BACKGROUND At its April 10, 2013 meeting, Governing Board President Scott Swendiman appointed an Ad Hoc Committee to review the Board s self-evaluation process and instrument. The Ad Hoc Committee recommended the same process ^ be used as presented in Board Policy and Administrative Procedure The self-evaluation instrument will be the same as used in prior years; however, a question regarding community relations has been added. The revised self-evaluation instrument will be distributed at this Board meeting. According to BP 2745 Board Self-Evaluation: If an instrument is used, all Board members will be asked to complete the evaluation instrument and submit them to the Board President. A summary of the evaluations will be presented and discussed at a board session scheduled annually between the spring and fall semesters for that purpose. The results will be used to identify accomplishments in the past year and set goals for the following year. The completed self-evaluation instruments will be discussed at the Governing Board s annual retreat scheduled for June 29, Following the retreat, the results will be compiled and summarized, and distributed at a subsequent regular Board meeting. RECOMMENDATION ^The Superintendent/President recommends the Board take action at this time to adopt the selfevaluation process and revised instrument.
