1 Addendum Number 1 Request for Bids # City Project CB 1302 To all prospective bidders under specifications for Request for Bids #15-004, the Bud Bender Park Rehabilitation Project, City Project CB 1302, which are to be received by the City of Rialto, California, until 3:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 18, 2014: The intent of this Addendum 1 is to extend the bid period to 3:00 P.M., January 8, 2015; incorporates a revised Additive Bid Schedule; to revise certain specifications; to replace the Electrical Plans (Sheets 45 through 55); and to address Requests for Information received. I. The following change shall be acknowledged in Part I Bidding and Contractual Documents and Forms: 1. Paragraph N-1 of the Notice Inviting Bids is hereby replaced with the following: N-1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for the Bud Bender Park Rehabilitation Project, City Project CB 1302 will be received by the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Rialto, California, until 3:00 P.M. on January 8, 2015, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. The Engineer s estimate range is $2,800,000 to $3,500, The Additive Bid Schedule shall be replaced with the revised Additive Bid Schedule included with this Addendum 1. The revised Additive Bid Schedule shall be used to submit a bid. II. The following changes shall be acknowledged in Part II Special Provisions: 1. The following paragraphs are hereby added to Section Connections to Equipment or System of Section 10 Construction Methods: The existing security cameras within Bud Bender Park shall be relocated to the new Musco light poles where indicated on Drawings E-1.1 and E-1.2. The existing cameras (IQin Vision. Part #IQ753 V7NPNE and Sony PTZ. Part #SNC RZ259) shall be relocated and mounted with appropriate brackets. Contractor shall furnish and install appropriate power cables from electrical panel to mounting location on pole, as 335 W. Rialto Avenue, Rialto, California 92376

Relocated security cameras shall be aligned as necessary to ensure wireless communication with existing security system. Telephone service to the existing concession building shall be removed, and new Charter internet/voip phone cable, data line shall be furnished and installed to the new concession stand/restroom building where indicated on Drawing E-1.2, subject to all appropriate utility company standards and specifications. III. The following revised project drawings, included herewith this Addendum 1, replace the original drawings and shall be acknowledged: Drawing E-0.1, Electrical Legends & Notes (Sheet 45) Drawing E-0.2, Luminaire Schedule (Sheet 46) Drawing E-0.3, Single Line Diagram & Panel Schedules (Sheet 47) Drawing E-1.1, Demolition Site Plan (Sheet 48) Drawing E-1.2, Electrical Site Plan (Sheet 49) Drawing E-2.1, Photometric Site Plan (Sheet 50) Drawing E-3.1, Power & Lighting Floor Plans (Sheet 51) Drawing E-4.1, Electrical Details (Sheet 52) Drawing E-4.2, Electrical Details (Sheet 53) Drawing E-4.3, Musco Photometric Scans (Sheet 54) Drawing E-5.1, Title 24 Documents (Sheet 55) The revised project drawings are available online at: IV. The following answers to questions received shall be acknowledged: Question: Answer: We saw the Notice Inviting Bids for the Bud Bender Park Rehabilitation Project. It shows that you are requiring a Class A contractor s license. We were wondering if you would consider allowing Class B license holders as well? Pursuant to Section of the Standard Specifications, as amended by the Special Provisions, the Contractor shall perform with its own organization contract work amounting to at least 50% of the contract price (excluding Additive work). The City does not expressly nor by implication agree that the actual amounts of work or material will correspond therewith, and reserves the right after award to increase or decrease the quantity of any unit price bid item, by an amount up to 25 percent of increase or decrease, without a change in the unit prices, and shall have the right to delete any bid item in its entirety, and receive full credit in the amount shown in the Additive Bid Schedule for the deleted item of Work. SPECIAL NOTE: In the event of any missing bid items or scope of work not otherwise included or identified in the Additive Bid Schedule, but indicated or required by the Plans and Specifications, the Contractor shall prosecute the work as required by the Plans and Specifications, and payment for any missing bid items or scope of work shall be included in the various bid items of work, and no additional payment will be allowed therefore. The Bidder s signature hereunder acknowledges the Bidder s responsibility to comprehensively review the Plans and Specifications and to include all costs associated with the required scope of work in the various bid items of work.
