4 Eminent Energy is an international energy trading company based in Cyprus with offices in Geneva and Dubai It was set up to develop an oil supply and marketing business for its beneficial owner, a Greek businessman based in Moscow, who has successfully built various energy enterprises throughout the wider CIS region for more than 20 years Eminent Energy s primary objective is to develop a diversified energy trading and investment business with particular focus on physical crude oil and petroleum products By combining its trading activities with investments in tangible assets (such as storage tanks) and logistics capabilities, Eminent is ideally placed to pursue opportunities in the ever shifting energy market i

6 Eminent s operations in the crude oil market began in January Through the successful development of relationships with a number of leading producers, oil majors and refiners it was able to source and supply circa 30,000 bpd of physical crude oil in its first year By both diversifying the blends and sources of crude oil it supplied, and by developing further relationships with major refiners, Eminent managed to expand its crude oil lifting operation to in excess of 50,000 bpd in 2011 i

8 Storage capabilities are a key component in Eminent s business strategy. The company already uses several storage facilities for both crude oil and distillates Through its storage capacity, Eminent can offer improved flexibility and availability for supplying buyers in key markets iii

11 Commencing in early 2012 Eminent Energy expanded its trading portfolio into Thermal Coal. This move, supported by a series of strong business alliances with major thermal coal suppliers in Indonesia and China, provides a strategic position for Eminent in the production, marketing and distribution of coal in a growing Asian market. Progressing into the latter half of 2012, Eminent Energy will continue to leverage its internal flexibility, liquidity and ability to manage risk in order to remain competitive in the current challenging market environment. ii

13 According to the IEA, global primary demand for energy will increase by over a third in the 25years. Eminent Energy intends to become an integrated energy trading organisation and pursue suitable investment opportunities to optimally position itself for the future A key feature of Eminent Energy s expansion strategy will be to continue building long term relationships with both producers and refiners in targeted geographic regions An important aspect of Eminent s approach is to develop partnerships and joint ventures with prominent organisations in the energy sector. 14 Eminent s growth plan over the coming years will include the following: Continuing to build and diversify its sources of crude oil to include, in particular CIS, Africa, Middle East and South America Further expand and diversify its activities in distillates by adding to its marketing and distribution capabilities Expanding the trading portfolio to include gasoline, fuel oil, coal and other energy related commodities Adding further storage capacity in locations key to supplying Eminent s principal markets. 16 To assist in developing and executing its oil supply and marketing activities, Eminent Energy has contracted the services of Alpine Energy Trading Ltd, London Alpine employs a team of specialists with a wealth of knowledge gained from many years of experience in the commodities industry Alpine provides the key skills required to operate a successful commodity trading business: marketing, risk management, systems, finance & accounting, operations, hedging, insurance, and logistics etc. Alpine has recently completed the installation of the Triple Point trading software platform which provides it with a powerful tool enabling it to capture, manage and report to Eminent on its global trading book i
