2 Jat Airways: Oracle E-Business Suite by Implementation of ERP System in Jat Airways: Oracle E-Business Suite About Oracle E-Business Suite and Avizo Oracle E-Business Suite is a fully integrated, comprehensive suite of business applications which give companies the industry-specific capabilities they need to adapt to change and compete more effectively. Whether companies implement one module at a time, multiple modules or the complete suite, Oracle E-Business Suite gives better business information for more effective decision-making and greater flexibility. It enables companies to protect existing investment, extend the value of their applications and evolve to the next generation of business applications. Avizo is Saga s integrated business information system (ERP) developed in Oracle technologies. It is a modern business solution designed for management of medium and large companies. Avizo provides accurate information on all aspects of business operations and a significant improvement in quality of management. Implementation of Avizo system increases the efficiency of the entire business and releases previously unused potential of the organization. It covers all business processes, and consists of 33 modules grouped in 8 subsystems (Finance, Human Resources, Warehouse and Procurement, Sales, Production, Maintenance, Administration and E-business). 1

3 Business Challenges Jat Airways have identified the need to replace their existing legacy ERP systems due to following reasons: - To manage costs and increase profitability by being able to make decisions based on timely analysis of accurate data; - Capitalize on global opportunities for expansion with the increased market reach created by the Internet and elimination of trading borders represented by the euro; - Implement new methods of planning for acquiring and developing workforces comprised of more empowered, efficient, and productive individuals; - Support global expansion by shifting from local to global systems - Source for best value, automate the complete procure-to-pay flow, extend efficiencies through supplier collaboration, and identify savings and supplier improvement opportunities; The primary users of the Oracle E-Business Suite are the Finance, Purchasing and Human Resources team of Jat Airways Head Office at Belgrade, Serbia. With the Oracle E-Business Suite implemented in Jat Airways, Saga also integrated Avizo modules for Payroll, Cash Office, Recruitments and Avizo system administration, adapted to local laws. On implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite, Jat Airways would be able to manage costs and increase profitability. Objectives The objective of this project is to: - implement the version of Oracle E-Business Suite subject to Oracle providing an error-free version of the software; - the initial installation of the Oracle E-Business Suite will be in As Is format, covering specified functionality: - Oracle Financials: Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, General Ledger, Cash Management & Fixed Assets - Oracle Purchasing: Purchasing, Inventory & i-procurement - Oracle Human Resources: Human Resources Administration & Oracle Learning Management - On site/off site Oracle e-business suite ERP Implementation support in the areas of Solution Definition, Training the Trainers, Acceptance Testing, Gap Analysis & End User Training to Jat Airways; - provide functional and technical support as per agreed scope and clarifications to ensure effective use of the system; - provide post production support for financial solution for one month and successful run for first payroll on the newly implemented Oracle E-Business Suite system; However, in order to achieve the above objectives, Jat Airways and Saga will ensure allocation / assignment of expertise in business domain areas (Finance, Purchasing & Human Resources), as well as technically skilled manpower and hardware/software resources for implementation & technical installation, operations and providing/developing interfaces for Oracle E-Business Suite. 2

4 Solution The scope of the project is to implement Oracle E-Business Suite at Jat Airways Head Officett in Belgrade, Serbia. Saga is providing following services: - Oracle E-Business Suite installation - Oracle E-Business Suite translation to Serbian language - Oracle E-Business Suite localization - Avizo installation (Modules: Payroll, Cash Office, Recruitments, Avizo System Administration) - Avizo customization - Avizo integration with Oracle E-Business Suite - Avizo implementation Benefits & Results - All business processes are brought under single platform which greatly simplifies the data processing. - With the Oracle E-Business Suite and Avizo, Jat Airways was given a modern business system, fully customized for the company needs. - System is localized on Serbian language. - Jat Airways is able manage costs and increase profitability by being able to make decisions based on timely analysis of accurate data. 3

It transports annually over one million passengers, about two million tons of cargo and over 600 tons of mail.
