3 Pre-requisites Web Apollo is supported on the 3 latest versions of Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Safari. The latest versions of these browsers as at 1 February 2013 are: IE 8 or higher Chrome 21 or higher Firefox 14 or higher Safari 3 or higher Login You can access Web Apollo by either going to or by clicking on Web Apollo on the main page of the Adviser Centre. To login you need to use the same credentials you use for the Adviser Centre. 3

4 Logout To logout click Logout in the bottom left corner of the left hand menu panel. Autosaving There is no Save button in Web Apollo. Web Apollo will always automatically save any change you make to either an illustration, or under My Details when you make any changes to your preferences and application defaults. Navigation and Usability The layout of Web Apollo has been kept as close to desktop Apollo as practically possible. This ensures that there are no major differences in the way you use Web Apollo or desktop Apollo. 4

5 Left Hand Menu Panel The left hand menu panel has 5 main functions. New Illustration This will open up a new blank illustration for you to prepare a new quote. My Illustrations Search for any illustration you have started in My Illustrations. You can then click on the life insured s name to open up the illustration. My Details Change your personal preferences and defaults under My Details. Note: All contact details are taken from the Adviser Centre. If you wish to modify any of your contact details you will need to log in to the Adviser Centre and change them under My Details on the Adviser Centre. 5

6 Documents Access the latest version of policy wordings, factsheets, key feature statements, application forms and other policy forms in the Documents section. Recent Illustrations If you click on the expand/collapse arrow next to Recent Illustrations you will be able to select one of the 10 most recent illustrations you have started. Expand/Collapse Left Side Menu Panel You are able to expand and collapse the left side menu panel in order to create more room when completing the illustration benefit details. This is especially recommended when using Web Apollo on a tablet device as it will give you maximum screen size. The expand/collapse arrow is located at the bottom of the left side menu panel. 6

7 Top Menu Bar The top menu bar has all the functions you require to complete an illustration. Add Life Click Add Life to add a new life to an illustration. Duplicate Selected Life Click Duplicate Selected Life to duplicate the selected life and the benefit details. Duplicate Illustration Click Duplicate Illustration to duplicate an illustration. Projections Click Projections to view the illustration premium projections. Preview/Print Click Preview/Print to preview and print an illustration. Underwriting Click Underwriting to view the underwriting requirements. E-App Click E-App to begin an electronic application. Notes Click Notes to add additional notes to the illustration. Commission Bar Commission settings for an individual illustration can be set from the commission bar at the top of an illustration. Click on the expand/collapse arrow to the left of Commission to view the commission details for an illustration. Note: Your default commission settings can be set under the commission tab in My Details. 7

8 Tablets Web Apollo will work on any tablet device that has one of the following web browsers installed: Internet Explorer Google Chrome Mozilla Firefox Safari Tablet Usability The behaviour and colour resolution of Web Apollo will change between devices due to the individual device specifications. The main behaviour differences are around the on screen keyboard and the way you select options from drop down boxes and tick boxes. To maximise the screen size on a tablet device we recommend that you collapse the left side menu panel before you begin completing an illustration. For ease of use we recommend that you use Web Apollo on a tablet device in the following way: Select all relevant benefits first in the benefits box Click in the first benefits sum assured field Use the next or tab button on the keyboard to proceed to the next benefits sum assured field Enter the sum assured or monthly benefit for each benefit selected Once this is done you can then select the benefit options for each benefit as these generally do not require the keyboard to appear as they are tick box options Smartphones Web Apollo has not been designed to work on smartphones. 8

9 Pop-Up Settings on Web Browsers For the electronic application to successfully load you need to make sure you have the correct pop-up settings on your browser. Google Chrome Go into the menu (top right) and click on Settings. Click on Show Advanced Settings at the bottom of the page and further options will be shown. Click Content Settings under the Privacy heading. Scroll down until you see the Pop-Ups heading and click on Manage exceptions. Enter into the hostname box and make sure the Behavior is set to Allow. Click OK to save the changes. 9

10 Mozilla Firefox Click on Firefox in the top left corner and then click on Options. (In older versions of Firefox you will need to click on Tools and then Options ). 10

11 Click on the Content tab and then click on Exceptions to the right of Block pop-up windows. Enter in the Address of website field and click Allow. Cick Close to save the changes. 11

12 Internet Explorer You should not have to change any settings for Internet Explorer. Safari Make sure the Block Pop-Up Windows remains unticked. 12

13 FAQ s Q. Can I use Web Apollo when I am not connected to the internet? A. No, you have to be connected to the internet to use Web Apollo. Q. Can I log in with the same adviser number and password on different computers at the same time? A. Yes. If different people access the same illustration on different computers at the same time and make changes, the most recent change will always be saved. Q. Where is the Save button? A. There is no Save button. Web Apollo will automatically save the changes as you make them. Any new quote you do will be saved and available under My Illustrations. Q. Can I print from my tablet device? A. Yes you can print to a wireless printer from your tablet device. You may need to install an airprint or iprint app for the specific printer you want to use. Please refer to the individual printer for compatibility confirmation with your specific tablet device. Q. Can I my quote from my tablet device? A. Yes. You will need to have the required app to do this, such as Adobe Reader. Q. Can I complete an E-App on my tablet device? A. The E-App has not been specifically customised to use on an tablet device, but as it is a web application it will work on any of these devices. Please note you might come across some small inconsistencies when completing an E-App due to the screen size and unique behaviours of the individual tablet device. Q. Can I quote investment products in Web Apollo? A. No Q. What is the best browser to use? A. Google Chrome is recommended. Q. Can I access my existing quotes on desktop Apollo from Web Apollo? A. No, any existing quotes in desktop Apollo will not be available in Web Apollo. Any quotes you do in Web Apollo will not be available in desktop Apollo. They are completely independent. 13
