1 Congratulations and welcome to Safeway, Inc.! Please refer to the instructions below for completing the documentation required as part of the onboarding process. The software requires the use of one of the following Web browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0, 9.0, 10.0 or 11.0 Mozilla Firefox 10,11,12,13,15,19 Apple Safari 5.0 or Google Chrome 20,24 1. To access part 2 of the online application, click the link provided in the notification you have received. The login credentials required to access this information are the same credentials you created during the original application process online. Please enter the Address and Password then click the Submit arrow or press the Enter key. 2. Upon your initial login, you will see 4 tabs containing various pieces of data needed for payroll purposes. You will need to click through each tab, read any instructional verbiage displayed and complete the necessary details (if required). Completing Part 2 of the Online Application Page 1

2 3. On Tax Forms tab, the Federal and State Tax (if applicable) forms links will display. The Save and Continue button will not become active until you have completed the Federal and State Tax (if applicable) forms and electronically signed. 4. Click the appropriate Federal W-4 link. A writable PDF form of the Federal W-4 will display. Click the green Begin button. Your Name, SSN and Address information from the online application will automatically populate on the form. 5. After clicking the Begin button, you will immediately be taken to the Federal W-4 Worksheet. a. The Worksheet will need to be completed prior to completing the W-4 Withholding Allowances Certificate. Please enter the appropriate withholding allowances, marital status, etc in the Worksheet and Form. b. Once complete, scroll to the bottom of the form. You will see a blank space indicating Employee s signature. There is no action needed in this field. c. Click the Submit Form button at the bottom of the page to submit your selections. 3 6. You will be taken back to VE online application where you will be presented with the electronic signature verbiage. Clicking the I agree radio button and OK button will take you back to the Tax Forms tab. 7. Once the Federal Tax form is complete, you will be required to complete the State Tax form (if applicable). Click the state tax form link. 8. You will be taken to the instructional sheet where you will click the green Begin button. After clicking the Begin button, you will be taken to the state tax form where you may need scroll down to complete the tax form Worksheet. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to complete the State tax form. 9. Once the Federal and State Tax (if applicable) forms are complete, you will be taken back to the Tax forms tab where the Save and Continue button will be active. Click the Save and Continue button. 4 10. You will receive confirmation the data has successfully been saved in the system. Click the Continue button. 11. You will be taken back to the Tax Forms tab. Click the TCS tab. On the TCS tab, there is no action needed by you. Click the Save and Continue button. 12. The Invitation to Self-Identify tab will display the value(s) you may have selected during the completion of your profile online. After the details are reviewed, click the Save and Continue button. 5 13. The Onboarding Data tab is the last tab to be completed. The fields containing an asterisk are required fields. 14. To elect a direct deposit to a Paycard, Savings or Checking account, please click the drop down for the Direct Deposit Payment Method Type field and select the appropriate value. 15. The Financial Institution field should contain the financial institution you are electing to deposit funds into. NOTE: If a you elect Paycard for the Direct Deposit Payment Method Type, instructional text is provided on the Onboarding Tab guiding you on the details to enter in the Financial Institution field. If selecting a Direct Deposit Payment Method Type of Paycard, enter the Financial Institution as MetaBank and Routing Number Your 13 digit Bank Account number is located on the back of your card in the lower left corner and begins with 510. 6 16. The Routing Number field should contain the routing number for the financial institution to which the funds are being deposited into. NOTE: If a you elect Paycard for the Direct Deposit Payment Method Type, instructional text is provided on the Onboarding Tab guiding you on the details to enter in the Routing Number field. If selecting a Direct Deposit Payment Method Type of Paycard, enter the Financial Institution as MetaBank and Routing Number Your 13 digit Bank Account number is located on the back of your card in the lower left corner and begins with 510. This number will be entered in the Account Number field. 17. The Account Number field should contain the account number to which the funds are being deposited into. NOTE: If a you elect Paycard for the Direct Deposit Payment Method Type, instructional text is provided on the Onboarding Tab guiding you on the details to enter in the Account Number field. If selecting a Direct Deposit Payment Method Type of Paycard, enter the Financial Institution as MetaBank and Routing Number Your 13 digit Bank Account number is located on the back of your card in the lower left corner and begins with 510. This number will be entered in the Account Number field. 18. The Amount field should contain the dollar amount you would like deposited into your account. NOTE: If you would like all of your funds deposited into your account, NET should be entered into the field. 19. The Remaining Balance field contains a drop down with 2 values Yes and No. o If you elect to have the NET of your paycheck go to a financial institution, Yes should be selected. o If you elect to have a specific amount go to a financial institution, No should be selected. 7 20. You can elect up to 3 deposits on the Onboarding Data tab. Steps would be followed for each account entered. Once all details have been entered on the Onboarding Data tab, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button.
