1 Accepting your offer using eapplication The University of Tasmania will notify you by if you have received an offer of a place in a course. Alternatively, you can visit eapplication at any time to check if you have been made an offer. 1. Access eapplication To access eapplication, go to and click on the Return to my eapplication button. Once you are at eapplication, click on the Existing Applicant button to log into your application. 2. Log on to your account Enter in the address and password you selected when initially submitting your application. If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it by answering your security question. Please note that a temporary password will be ed to your address, so be sure to include Apply.Now@utas.edu.au on your safe senders list. If you have trouble resetting your password, we can assist. Please call our Student Centre team on Check the status of your application The Your Application summary screen provides you with an overview of the status of your application and your courses preferences. Each of your course preferences will be listed, and if any offer has been made you will have options to: View Offer view your letter of offer Accept accept the offer, and take up a place in this course Reject reject the offer, and decline the offer of a place in this course Defer request to defer the offer to the next intake. 2 4. View your Offer Letter An electronic copy of your offer letter will be accessible by clicking the View Offer button. You should read the offer letter carefully for any conditions that apply to the offer, and other important information provided in relation to your offer in the course. 5. Respond to your Offer It is important that you respond to your offer by accepting, rejecting or deferring it, even if it is not your first preference. UTAS asks you to respond so that we know whether we can allocate your place to another applicant. Your response to the offer will therefore determine what happens to your application in future offer rounds. Instructions on accepting, rejecting and deferring are over the page. If you have not received an offer in your highest preference, eapplication will ask if you still wish to be considered for higher preference offers in later rounds. In this way, you can accept a lower preference offer now (if you are happy to study that course) but leave your options open should a higher preference offer become available. Alternatively, you may wish to be excluded from further consideration if you wish to take up your current offer. If you have received an offer in your highest preference but you now wish to change your preferences, you need to action the offer first. We recommend that you Accept your Preference 1 offer by clicking on the Accept button. Once you have accepted your offer, the Withdraw button will display next to the offer. If you select Withdraw you will then be able to rearrange your preferences again to select a different course as your first preference. If you have any problems changing your preference after receiving an offer, please don t hesitate to us at admissions@utas.edu.au and we will change it for you (remember to tell us what you want your new Preference 1 to be!). 3 Accepting your Offer To accept your offer, click the Accept button. If you are accepting an offer for a lower preference, you will be asked if you still wish to be considered for higher preference offers. If you answer Yes and you are successful in gaining a higher preference offer in a later offer round, you will be able to choose between the two offers. If you are satisfied with the offer you have received and do not wish to be considered for higher preferences, select No. The Preparatory Programs screen allows you to indicate whether you wish to be enrolled in one of our preparation programs. 4 The final step in the process will provide you with your University of Tasmania Student ID number, address, and your login and password to access our webmail service and MyLO (our online learning system). Please note down these details, as you will need them to access the estudent system to complete your enrolment. If you are accepting your offer well in advance of the course commencement, your address and login details may not have been activated. If this is the case, eapplication will advise you that these details will be ed to you (and posted) as soon as your account has been activated. 5 Deferring your Offer If you have received an offer you may be eligible to apply for a deferral. Deferrals are not available in all courses and are strictly limited in some others. If the course you have received an offer in is deferrable, you will have the option to request a deferral of your place. Once a deferral request is submitted and processed, you will be notified via of the outcome of your application request. Select the Defer option. You will need to indicate which intake you wish to apply to defer to, and select a reason for your deferral. Click Submit to lodge your request to be considered for a deferral. The Your Application screen will indicate that a deferral has been requested. The University of Tasmania will be in contact with you regarding your deferral later in the admissions cycle. 6 Rejecting your Offer You may reject your offer if you do not wish to study the course we have offered you. When you reject an offer, you will need to indicate if you still wish to be considered for higher preference offers. Select the Reject option. It is important that you tell eapplicaton whether you wish to be considered for further offers in higher preferences. Select Yes if you wish to be considered for future offers. If you only have one preference, or if this is your highest eligible preference, you will receive a warning that you will not be considered in future offer rounds. If you reject your offer of a place, and then decide you want to accept it later, the option will be available to you (subject to course start and offer validity dates).
