3 1. Introduction This document contains instruction for using your Baupunkt Smart Home aarm system through Baupunkt Home Connection coud service. Pease foow instruction in ater chapter for system registration and operation. The Home Connection server can be accessed via either a web browser or a smartphone appication. The web browser user interface supports compete features incuding registration, setting configuration and operation; the smartphone app interface is designed for easy access by user and ony supports operation function Registraion 1. Use your web browser, connect to Home Connection server homepage 2. Cick New User to begin registration. 3. Foow the on screen instruction to make sure your aarm system contro pane is propery connected and powered up, then proceed to enter registration info. NOTE: For security purpose, the Home Connection Server has a mechanism which ony aows registration within the first 15 minutes after a Contro Pane is connected to the server. If the pane does not compete registration within 15 minutes, you shoud power down and restart the pane again to reconnect to server and reset the 15 minute timer. 1

4 Account Info: n ID: Your account username which wi be used to og into the server. The ID must be unique. n New Password: Enter a password for the user account n Confirm Password: Repeat the password as a confirmation n E-mai: The emai address entered wi be used to receive notification from the server. n Country Code: Enter your country code. n Mobie Phone: Your mobie phone number. n Land Line: Land ine teephone number n Terms and Conditions: Check the box to confirm you agree with the terms and conditions, cick the ink to read the detai. Cick Next to proceed after entering a info. 2

6 Registration Info: n n Step 5. MAC: Enter the Contro Pane s MAC address, the MAC address can be found on the abe on back of the Contro Pane. Language: Seect the dispay anguage. Cick Submit to proceed after entering a info. After cicking Submit, the server wi connect to the Contro Pane and compete the registration process. Step 6. If registration is successfu, the webpage wi dispay success message, cick OK to confirm. NOTE: 1. If you see an error message, it may indicate one of the foowing situations. 4

7 Server Connection Error: The Contro Pane is not connected to the server. The Contro Pane coud be either powered down, or has internet connection probem. Pease check its AC power and network status. n n n In case of the contro pane being mistaken as maware or virus, pease check your firewa setting, make sure port TCP 5222 is open and on your firewa exception ist. Check your router MAC address fiter setting and make sure the MAC address of your contro pane is authorized in your router. If you are using the dia-up internet connection, pease make sure your router supports ADSL PPPOE function. Registration Time Expired: The Contro Pane did not compete registration within 15 minutes after connecting to the server. Pease power down and re power up the Contro Pane. 2. Each MAC Address can ony be registered once. Otherwise an error message wi be dispayed. If you are the owner of the pane and are certain the pane has never been registered before, pease contact Baupunkt support staff. 5

8 Step 7. The webpage wi dispay a Service and Payment menu. You can choose between the free Basic option or the advanced Premium option. NOTE: Currenty ony Basic service option is provided. Pease seect Basic and simpy cick OK to proceed. Step 8. The server wi send a confirmation emai to your registered emai account. Proceed to og into the server using the ID and Password you just registered. Registration is compete If you did not receive the confirmation emai, check and edit your emai address ater in your user account setting. 6

9 2. Web Browser Interface 2.1. Log In Step 1. Enter your registered account ID and password and cick Connect to og into your account. Check Remember Me if you want the webpage to remember your og in info for repeat access. Cick Support to connect to support website. If you ost your registered password, cick Forgot Password, enter your registered ID and cick Submit. The server wi reset your password and create a new random password, then send the password to your registered emai account. 7

10 Step 2. You wi enter the main page of your account. NOTE: Ony ONE person may ogin the account at the same time using the same ID. If the second person ogs into the account, the current user wi be disconnected forciby. To aow mutipe users to og into the system at the same time, pease refer to 2.7 Account to set secondary users for your account. 8

11 2.2. Security The Security page dispays current system mode and security sensors/devices currenty existing in the Contro pane for quick access. The device ist wi vary depending on the kit you purchased. For Q3000 kit: A Door Contact and a PIR Sensor are incuded in the kit. For Q3200 kit: A Door Contact, a PIR Camera and a Remote Controer are incuded.. 9

12 System Mode The system mode is indicated by the 3 buttons at top of the webpage. The current system mode wi ight up. Away Arm: Away Arm Mode wi put a sensors in the system on aert to raise aarm upon detecting intruder. Home Arm: Home Arm Mode wi partia arm the sensors in system so that no intruder coud get inside the premises without triggering an aarm, yet the user can move within the house freey. Refer to your kit s Instaation Guide to pan sensor instaation ocations. NOTE: For sensor Home Arm setting, pease refer to Device Setting for detai. Disarm: Disarm Mode wi deactivate sensor, no aarm wi be activated by sensor detection. To change system mode: Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Cick on the desired mode button. You wi be required to enter one of the Contro Pane User PIN Code to confirm the action. Enter the User PIN Code (Your defaut PIN Code is 1234), if the PIN Code is correct, for arming action, the Contro Pane wi begin Exit Time countdown. If incorrect PIN Code is entered, the webpage wi dispay error message and arming wi be aborted. If the system has existing faut events when arming, the webpage wi dispay faut message and arming wi be aborted. If you sti want to arm the system, repeat the arming action within 30 seconds to bypass the fauty situation and arm system. (German version firmware does not have this function, pease ignore this paragraph when transating.) When arming/disarming is compete, the mode button wi change accordingy. NOTE: For more information about system mode contro and User PIN Code, pease refer to Device Setting and Pane Setting. 10

13 Sensors The sensor section ists a security function reated accessory device in the system. (Home Automation devices are not dispayed.) The Sensor List incudes foowing info: Device Icon Device Type: Device Zone Number from 1 to 40 Device Name (Optiona) Device Status: If the device has faut, the coumn wi turn to red and the faut status wi be dispayed Request Image/ Video: For PIR Camera and IP Camera ony. Cick the camera icon to manuay contro the camera to take a picture/video IP Camera List The IP Camera function is currenty disabed for Basic user. The IP Cam List shows the IP Cameras currenty earnt in the Contro Pane. Cick on the IP Camera Image to go to IP Cam page and view streaming video. See 2.4 IP Camera for detai. 11

14 2.3. Automation The Automation page provides access to home automation functions in the Contro Pane Device A Home Automation reated devices are isted in this page Device Status wi be dispayed in each device coumn. n n n n Switch type device wi dispay current on/off condition, cick the ON/OFF icon to togge its status. Power Switch with Meter wi dispay current wattage and accumuated power consumption. Cick the icon to view the history graph of power consumption Dimmer wi dispay current power output eve, either cick the ON/OFF icon to togge or cick the bar to adjust the output percentage. Temperature sensor wi dispay temperature reading. 12

15 Group The group subpage aows you to assign mutipe devices into one group and view a devices condition in a group for easy management. For exampe, you can assign devices in a room into a singe group to monitor the particuar room s environment easiy. An empty Group 1 is created by defaut. Cick the icon to edit the group content. n n Enter the group name in Name fied for identification. Check the box before device name to assign the device to this group. n You can upoad your own group picture to repace the defaut picture. Cick the icon and seect the picture fie in your computer to upoad picture. n Cick OK to confirm when finished. You can create more group by cicking the icon at top right. 13

16 Scene The scene subpage aows you to configure Home Automation Scenes. A Scene incudes a set of actions which the Contro Pane may perform with its Home Automation devices. The user can program the Scene and associate it with a set of system condition and/or time schedue. The Contro Pane wi then execute the Scene automaticay when the condition or time schedue requirement is met, or the user can aso manuay execute the scene via the scene page. Create a New Scene. Step 1. Cick Add scene or the icon to access Add Scene menu. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Enter a scene name. Seect a scene icon for easy recognition. Seect up to 3 devices from the avaiabe device ist in the Contro Pane, and seect the device action to be performed. 14

17 Step 5. Set the Condition and/or Timer Schedue for the scene to be executed automaticay. You can aso cick the icon on top right of condition setting to add a second set of condition and time schedue. If you program 2 sets of condition/time schedue, the scene wi be executed automaticay when either of the 2 sets of condition/time schedue is met. Cicking icon wi remove the condition/time schedue set. Step 6. Cick Submit to confirm scene setting. The Scene page wi be updated with the new Scene 15

18 Appy Scene. You can cick the icon after the scene name to bypass the condition/time schedue setting and manuay execute a scene s action. Edit Scene. Step 1. To edit an existing scene, cick the scene coumn to view scene content. Step 2. Cick icon at top right to access Edit Scene menu. Step 3. Edit the Scene setting. Cick to remove existing device or condition/time setting; cick icon to add new device or condition/time option. Step 4. Cick Submit to confirm scene change. Deete Scene. Step 1. Cick icon to access deete scene menu. Step 2. Check the box before the scene you want to deete and cick OK to confirm. 16

19 2.4. IP Camera The IP Camera function is currenty disabed for Basic user. The IP Camera page provides rea time video streaming from your IP Cameras. IP Cam List If you have mutipe IP Cameras in the Contro Pane. Cick each IP Camera s respective image in the IP Cam List to change the currenty streaming IP Camera IP Cam Setting Cick Record Video icon to configure IP Camera settings. Cick icon to record a video cip. The IP Camera wi record video cip according to its interna setting (Pease refer to IP Camera manua for detai). 17

20 2.5. Event The Event page records a aarm/status event, pictures and video transmitted from the Contro Pane. Seect the event category to determine what events are dispayed A The Event page wi dispay a received events and picture/video. Media: The Event page wi ony dispay received pictures and videos, no aarm or status event wi be dispayed. Aarm: The Event page wi ony dispay aarm events. Status events and picture/videos wi not be dispayed. Date: Seect a date, the Event page wi ony dispay events and picture/video received on seected date. 18

21 2.6. Setting The Setting page incudes Contro Pane device, operation and reporting setting options. Cick Setting to access the function. You wi be required to enter the Master Code. Enter the defaut Master Code After entering correct Master Code, you wi first enter Device setting subpage. 19

22 Device Setting The Device setting subpage provides foowing information and functions: Device List and Edit Device The Device List incudes information of a accessory devices earnt in the Contro Pane, incuding their current status. You may edit the device information by cicking the to enter Edit Device Page. icon at end of each device info coumn The Edit Device page incude foowing device settings: Ø Ø Zone: The Zone is the number by which the device is recognized in the system. Each device takes up a singe zone in the system. Name: Set a device name for easy recognition. Bypass: Use this function to deactivate a device. A bypassed device wi be ignored by the 20

23 system. A trigger response from this sensor is discarded by the system and no aarm wi be activated. The system wi aso stop checking the device for any faut condition (out of order or ow battery) Ø Ø Ø Trigger Response: For Home Automation contro. Seect a Scene number for the scene to be activated when this device is triggered. Chime: Enabe the Chime function for the Contro Pane to emit a ding-dong notification sound when this sensor is triggered under Disarm mode. Attribute: The attribute determines when the system shoud raise aarm from sensor trigger according to system mode: ü Burgar When the device is triggered under Away Arm or Home Arm mode, a Burgar Aarm wi be activated immediatey. When the device is triggered during Entry or Exit countdown, the aarm wi not be activated. ü Home Omit When the device is triggered under Away Arm mode, a Burgar Aarm wi be activated immediatey. When the device is triggered under Home Arm mode, the aarm wi not be activated. ü Entry 1 / Entry 2 When the system is in Away or Home Arm mode, if an Entry 1 or Entry 2 device is triggered, the Contro Pane wi start an Entry Deay countdown timer f according to Entry 1 Deay or Entry 2 Deay setting programmed for the user to disarm the system. (Pease refer to Pane Setting for detai.). After the deay period has expired and no correct PIN code has been entered, the Contro Pane wi activate iren immediatey to remind the user the deay period has expired. If the Contro Pane is not disarmed within 30 seconds after the deay period expires, a Burgar Aarm wi be reported. Disarming the Contro Pane within the 30 second period wi return the system to Disarm mode and sience the siren. No aarm wi be reported. Ø Cick Submit to compete device setting when finished. Add Device (Learning) 21

24 Each kit comes with its accessory devices aready incuded in the system. If you purchase a new accessory device, the new device must be added into the Contro Pane for the pane to recognize the device. Refer to steps beow to add new device. Step 1. Cick icon at top right corner icon to access Add Device function. Step 2. Refer to accessory device manua to transmit earn signa from the device. When the pane receives earn signa, the pane wi emit a ding-dong two-tone beep. The webpage wi dispay device info. Step 3. Check the box in front of device info, then cick OK to add the device into Contro Pane. 22

25 The device wi be assigned to an empty zone number in the Contro Pane. Wak Test The Wak Test function is used to check the radio transmission range of your accessory devices. Before instaing each device, you shoud use this function to make sure the device signa can be received by Contro Pane at desire instaation ocation. Step 1. Cick icon at top right to enter Wak Test mode. Step 2. Refer to device menu and press the test button to transmit a test signa for signa range test. When the signa is received, the Contro Pane wi emit a beep to indicate; the webpage wi be updated to show device info and signa strength in RSSI vaue. (IP Camera wi send signa automaticay upon entering Wak Test and does not require button press.) If no signa is received, pease change device insta ocation and test again. 23

26 Refresh Device List Cick icon to refresh device ist info. Deete Device Step 1. To remove earnt in devices, cick icon to access deete device menu. Step 2. Check the box at end of device coumn and cick OK to remove seected devices from pane.. 24

27 Pane Setting The Pane setting page provides access to Contro Pane operation settings. After seecting new settings, cick the SUBMIT button at bottom of the webpage to confirm change. Genera Settings: Aarm Length: The aarm ength determines how ong the Contro Pane buit-in siren and other externa sirens in the system shoud sound warning when an aarm event is triggered Supervision Timer: The accessory devices wi transmit check-in signa to Contro Pane reguary for pane to monitor device status. If the pane fais to receive signa from a particuar device for set period. The pane wi consider the device Out of order and send report to server. Use this function to determine the supervision time aowed for your accessory devices. Interna Siren: Use this function to activate/deactivate the Contro Pane s buit-in siren. Deactivated siren wi not sound warning during aarm. Door Chime: Set the Door Chime sound voume. Warning Beep: if not sienced, the pane wi emit a beep every 30 seconds when it detects a faut in the system. Away Arm Settings: Entry Deay Time / Entry Deay Time 2: When a sensor set to Entry 1 or Entry 2 is triggered under Away Arm mode, the pane wi begin entry countdown time according to ength set with this function. Entry 1 attribute corresponds to Entry Deay Time ength and Entry 2 attribute corresponds to Entry Deay Time 2. Entry Deay Sound: Set the Entry Deay countdown voume. Exit Deay Time: When the pane changes to Away Arm mode, it wi begin counting down Exit Deay time according to set time ength. When the time expires, the pane wi enter set arm mode. A home occupants must eave sensor covered detection area before Exit Deay Time expires or they wi trigger aarm. Exit Deay Sound: Set the Exit Deay countdown voume. 25

28 Home Arm Setting: Entry Deay Time / Entry Deay Time 2: When a sensor set to Entry 1 or Entry 2 is triggered under Home Arm mode, the pane wi begin entry countdown time according to ength set with this function. Entry 1 attribute corresponds to Entry Deay Time ength and Entry 2 attribute corresponds to Entry Deay Time 2. Entry Deay Sound: Set the Entry Deay countdown voume. Exit Deay Time: When the pane changes to Home Arm mode, it wi begin counting down Exit Deay time according to set time ength. When the time expires, the pane wi enter set arm mode. A home occupants must eave sensor covered detection area before Exit Deay Time expires or they wi trigger aarm. Exit Deay Sound: Set the Exit Deay countdown voume. Temperature Setting (Temperature Sensor required): High Temperature: When temperature rises above set vaue, the Contro Pane wi send report to server to notify High Temperature condition. If the temperature drops back under the set vaue again, the Contro Pane wi send High Temperature Restore report. Low Temperature: When temperature drops beow set vaue, the Contro Pane wi send report to server to notify Low Temperature condition. If the temperature rises above the set vaue again, the Contro Pane wi send Low Temperature Restore report. Master Code Setting: The Master Code is required to access the setting page. Enter new Master Code in the fied if needed and make sure to note down you new Master Code. Program Siren If you have purchased extra externa sirens to expand the system, use the program siren functions to change your siren settings if needed. Seect the option in drop down menu and cick OK after each option. (Do not cick the SUBMIT button)the pane wi transmit signa to siren, if the signa is 26

29 received, the siren wi emit a beep to confirm programming is successfu. Confirm: Determines whether the siren shoud emit confirmation beep when the system is arm or disarmed. Entry Sound: Determine whether the siren shoud sound beeps aong with Contro Pane during Entry Deay countdown. Siren Tamper: Temporariy disabe the siren s tamper protection function for one hour if set to OFF. You can aso reactivate the siren by seecting ON again. This function shoud be used when you wish to change siren ocation or battery after competing instaation to avoid tamper aarm by siren. User PIN Codes The User PIN Codes are used to contro system mode. You are required to enter a User PIN Code when changing system mode with the web interface, mobie app or Remote Keypad accessory device. User Name: Enter a name to identify the User No. The name wi be dispayed in Event page if this PIN Code is used to arm/disarm the system. The name of User 1 is set to user by defaut. User Code: Enter a 4-digit code. The User PIN Code 1 is set to 1234 by defaut. A other Pin Codes are disabed by defaut. We suggest you to change the defaut PIN code as soon as possibe. Latch: Checking the Latch box wi enabe the system to record the arm/disarm action performed by this user. If Latch is unchecked, this user s action wi not be recorded in Event page. Deete: Check this box to remove this User PIN Code. User 1 cannot be deeted. Time Setting Use this function to set system time zone. Pane Info: 27

31 Report Setting The Report setting page aows you to program system event notification. SMS Report. SMS reporting is currenty disabed for Basic user Upon receiving a report sent from Contro Pane, the Server can forward the event by SMS message to programmed mobie numbers. The mobie number entered in registration wi be used as defaut number. Cick icon to add new SMS report number. For each number, seect the type of events to be reported to this number. Options incude: None: No events wi be report A: A aarm and status event wi be reported Burgar: Ony aarm event wi be reported. SMS Reporting requires credit. Each SMS report to a mobie number wi consume one SMS credit. When SMS credit reaches 0, the server wi stop sending SMS reports. To check remaining SMS credit, move the mouse cursor over icon to dispay SMS credit. Emai Report The emai report functions in the same way as SMS report, but does not require any credits. Besides events, the server wi aso send any picture or video received to programmed emai 29

32 accounts. The emai account entered in registration wi be used as defaut. Cick icon to add new emai account. Cick to remove existing emai accounts. Defaut emai account cannot be removed. For each emai account, seect the type of events to be reported to this number. Options incude: None: No events wi be report A: A aarm and status event wi be reported Burgar: Ony aarm event wi be reported. Push Report Program the Push Notification setting for mobie devices. Seect the type of events to be reported to this number. Options incude: None: No events wi be report A: A aarm and status event wi be reported Burgar: Ony aarm event wi be reported. Cick SUBMIT to confirm after finish a settings. 30

33 2.7. Account The account page dispay user account info. To access account page, cick the drop down menu at top right of screen and seect Account, or cick icon at top eft This page dispays your registered user info, secondary user ist and anguage setting. To edit your user setting, cick icon. 31

34 User Info: Enter your new user information. Secondary User Account List: This function is used to add extra user under registered user account. Your registered account is the Main User, which can be used to create new user account to aow mutipe users to access the system at the same time. Cick the to add new secondary user and cick icon to expand the page and enter the information. You can aso cick icon to deete users. 32

35 Language Setting: Seect your dispayed anguage. After finish a settings, cick SUBMIT at bottom of page to confirm change. Change Avatar Cick Change Avatar to change your avatar picture. Cick Change Password icon, seect the new avatar picture in your computer, then cick Upoad to confirm. Cick Change Password, enter your current og in password, then enter the new password and repeat the new password and cick Submit to confirm. Contact Info Cick to access Contact Info. 33

36 2.8. Service and Payment The Service and Payment page dispay user account service package choice. 34

37 3. Mobie App Interface You can aso access the Baupunkt Home Connect server using smartphone appication. Search for Secure4Home under Googe Pay for Android device or Appe App Store for iphone to downoad the free app. The mobie app interface has been simpified. It does not support registration, setting configuration, user account management and Home Automation scene/group setting function. Pease use the web browser interface for these functions. The Security, Automation contro, IP Camera and Event ong are avaiabe for app interface for daiy use Log In Start the Secure4Home app, enter your registered account ID and password and press Login to og into your account. Seect Remember Me for the app to remember the ogin info for repeat access. You wi first enter the Security page upon ogging into your account. To switch between different functions, press the button function icons. 35

38 3.2. Security Mode: The Security page dispays current system mode indicated by 3 mode buttons. The current mode button wi ight up. To change mode, press the respective mode button and enter User PIN Code. Sensors: To view the security sensors in the system, press the SENSORS bar to pu up the sensor ist. The sensor information wi be dispayed, incuding faut status and Door Contact Open/Cose condition. PIR Camera and IP Camera can aso be controed to take picture/video by pressing the camera button. 36

39 3.3. Automation The Automation page provides avaiabe Home Automation devices and scenes. Device List: Avaiabe Home Automation devices are dispayed aong with their information and condition. Depending on the device function, you may contro the device on this page or access extra device functions by seecting the device. Fiter: Seect Fier to narrow down the device ist you want to dispay. If you have programmed Home Automation Group using the Web Browser interface, the programmed group wi aso be avaiabe for seection. Scene: The Mobie App interface does not aow scene programming. You can ony seect pre-programmed scene to execute this scene manuay. 37

40 3.4. IP Camera The IP Camera page dispays avaiabe IP Cameras to provide streaming video. Press the IP Camera image to enarge. Press the camera button to record a video if needed. 38

41 3.5. Event The Event page dispays system events reported from the Contro Pane. Press the event name to for detai incuding Time, Zone and device type. Pictures captured by PIR Camera wi aso be dispayed. Press the phone button to access phone function to make a ca; press the mai button to access emai to send this event by emai. 39

42 3.6. Account Access the Account page by pressing the button at top right of screen. Persona Info: The Persona Info page dispay registered user info. Change Password: For changing password used to access your account. Notification: For changing Emai, SMS and Push Notification settings. Pease note that you can ony add new SMS number or emai account using Web Browser interface, not Mobie App. 40
