2 Instructions for Installing the Necessary Files and Accessing the Judiciary Mainframe Systems from the Internet Prerequisites: Windows XP, Vista, Internet Explorer 7 and above. Access to the Internet. VISTA USERS PLEASE NOTE: You must run Internet Explorer as administrator for the first time. To do this, right the click Internet Explorer icon, and choose run as administrator. This is only necessary for the initial installation of the application. Open Internet Explorer and enter the following internet address: The New Jersey Courts Login page will open. NOTE: If you have previously downloaded and run the installation files and successfully connected to the Judiciary systems go to page 4. FIRST TIME LOGIN ONLY The first time you access the New Jersey Judiciary VPN, you must configure Internet Explorer to allow signed Active X controls to be downloaded. From the Internet Explorer Menu Bar: Choose TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS, and then click the SECURITY tab. 1

3 SELECT TRUSTED SITES from the available zones to view or change then Click the SITES button If the following judiciary website is not already in the Add this website to the zone box, type it in: CLICK ADD then CLOSE. 2

4 From the Internet Options box CLICK on CUSTOM LEVEL. SELECT ENABLE under Download signed ActiveX controls then CLICK OK. Note: If you receive the message Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone, CHOOSE YES. CLICK OK for Internet Options. You are now ready to log onto the New Jersey Judiciary website and download and install the necessary files needed to access the New Jersey Courts systems. 3

5 ENTER the Username and Password you were issued then CLICK the Login button. 4

6 When you receive the New Jersey Courts Electronic Access Program agreement message if you accept CLICK Continue or Cancel if you do not. You are then directed to the New Jersey Courts VPN Home page. To access the Judiciary mainframe systems, CLICK on the Judiciary Mainframe link. 5

7 CLICK on the New Jersey Judiciary Mainframe link to download and install the necessary files. NOTE: If you have previously downloaded and run the installation files and successfully connected to the Judiciary systems go to page 8. 6

8 The installation takes approximately 3 minutes to complete. Do not stop or disrupt the installation. 7

9 When the download and installation is finished the Judiciary Telecommunications Network page will open. Accessing the New Jersey Judiciary Mainframe systems: TYPE NJ and PRESS Enter to access the Mainframe systems login page. 8

10 The Intersession Manager screen will display. To Login to Mainframe: In the UserID field TYPE the User ID provided to you. PRESS TAB. In the Password field TYPE the Password provided to you. PRESS ENTER. 9

11 After logging in the InterSession Main Menu will display. NOTE: Refer to the user guides provided on the Electronic Access Program home page for each available system. Electronic Access Program home page is located at: To Logout / Close Session / Disconnect from NJ Courts: To logoff at InterSession Main Menu TYPE Logoff and PRESS Enter. Close the Intersession Manager window. CLICK the Red X in the upper right hand corner of the New Jersey Courts web page. Choose OK to the Close Session confirmation message. Close Internet Explorer. 10
