4 Who are CPI? CPI is a UK technology innovation centre and the process element of the Government s High Value Manufacturing Catapult. OPENING 2017 National Printable Electronics Centre National Industrial Biotechnology Facility National Biologics Manufacturing Centre National Formulation Centre We use applied knowledge in science and engineering combined with state of the art facilities to enable our clients to develop, prove, prototype and scale-up the next generation of products and processes.

5 CPI Who We Are CPI is an independent private company limited by guarantee founded in 2004, with the Innovation UK having step-in rights to protect the public investment in the company. We have grown from regional beginnings to the National Innovation Centre for the Process Industry as part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult. We are modelled on the German Fraunhofer Institutes who were members of our pre-incorporation Board. Our Board and Advisory processes bring in advice from over 30 leading industrialists and academics.

6 CPI What We Do We support many major blue chip clients including many household names, and more than 200 SMEs and institutes, and universities from all over the world. We operate 4 national centres and employ over 60m of assets. We employ more than 220 highly skilled scientists and engineers. CPI works with organisations to deliver more value by reducing the risk and increasing the pace of their R&D. CPI integrates knowledge and assets to create scalable products and processes that work, then quickly demonstrates and proves them at prototype and pilot plant scale through to commercial production.

10 High Value Manufacturing Catapult The High Value Manufacturing Catapult brings together UK-based 460 million centres invested of collaborative to date research to create something even greater than the Over sum 240 of its million parts... for the next 5 years A single network covering high value Over 2300 industry clients sectors from pharmaceuticals to power generation, where knowledge gained in one A combined 1300 staff and growing area can be transferred to another.
