Bayside Café Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main hospital building. Kahwa Coffee The coffee shop is available in the hospital s West Lobby, offering coffee, snacks, pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Tropical Smoothie Café Visitors can also enjoy smoothies, sandwiches and wraps on the first floor of the Bayfront Heart Center, across the street from the main hospital building. 4 Frequently Asked Questions When can I visit? Bayfront welcomes family and friends to visit patients. Because patient healing is our priority, please check with the nursing staff for the best times to visit loved ones. Will my doctor at home know about my care? We work together as a collaborative care team with your hometown physician. Our goal is to return you to your home community as soon as possible. Where do I park? Three parking garages are available on campus. Keep adjacent to the Medical Plaza. The East Garage is located on Sixth Street South, across the street from the hospital s East Lobby (open 24 hours), and the Bayfront Heart Center garage is located on Seventh Street South adjacent to the Bayfront Heart Center building. There is a $1 fee for parking in the garages. A hospital security officer is always available 24/7 to escort visitors to their cars. To arrange for an escort, please call Bayfront s Security at Patients are provided curbside service, as needed, on arrival and discharge. What overnight accommodations are available? 5 Our Services Some of our comprehensive specialty services include: Emergency and Trauma Services Bayfront, a Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, is Pinellas County s only trauma center. Our comprehensive trauma team includes board-certified trauma surgeons and specially trained ER nurses and paramedics. Nearly three decades of service and partnership with All Children s/johns Hopkins in the operation of our joint pediatric center distinguishes our program. Bayfront s Bayflite helicopter air medical program serves 18 counties in West Central Florida and is the largest hospital-based trauma flight program in the southeastern U.S. Bayflite also provides hospital-tohospital transport of critically ill infants, children and adults. Bayfront s Emergency Department treats minor injuries to life-threatening trauma conditions. All physicians are board certified in emergency medicine.
