2 Our Mission With Christ as our example, we exist to help restore and promote the health and quality of life of those we serve. The guiding principles for all we do are embodied in our relationship with God. Founded on the Seventh-day Adventist legacy of Christian health care and service, we serve those who are sick and hurting as our response to a loving God who gave us the example of meeting the physical, mental and spiritual needs of others. Our Neighbors As responsible stewards of the resources entrusted to us, we work in collaboration with the people in our communities to provide appropriate services that contribute positively to their quality of life. Some hospitals offer a lot of beds; we offer a lot of attention. At our hospital, you are our neighbor, not another number. Those We Serve We strive to create a beneficial environment of friendly, compassionate, extraordinary care that promotes comfort and healing for those whom we serve. Our Associates We respect the diversity and contributions of our employees, medical staff, volunteers, vendors, business partners and the many others associated with our organization. We conduct our business and work relationships with fairness and integrity. Technology The latest equipment and advances in the medical field continue to pave the way for the future of your health. We stay on the leading edge of technology to provide our community with the best care possible. Compassion We continue to be guided by the motto, The skill to heal. The spirit to care. We are committed to providing quality and compassion in every aspect of your personal care. Florida Hospital DeLand is a member of Florida Hospital and a member of Adventist Health System, the largest not-for-profit Protestant health care organization in the nation.
