8 07 Your Journey Be prepared k Some of these points will seem obvious but we d recommend considering each of them ahead of changing your MIS... Who uses your MIS? Changing your MIS impacts the whole school so it s worth making sure that everyone who will use is involved in the procurement process where appropriate. This will ensure that key stakeholders are aware of what the change means, when it is happening and will be bought into helping to embed the system quickly and smoothly. How do you use your MIS? Its worth writing down a list of things you need an MIS to deliver to ensure it meets your needs. Keep this list to hand throughout the procurement process as well during your training and support. When does your journey start? Make sure you fully understand the process to migrate to your new MIS and what s required from the school and when.
