HERC History The Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (HERC) was founded in the spring of 2000 by colleges and universities in Northern California that sought ways to collaborate on addressing dual-career, diversity and employment outreach challenges at their campuses. HERC was subsequently established as a member governed non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. EQUITY Transparent access to career opportunities and advancement inspires achievement and strengthens our institutions. COLLABORATION Together, we address the most pressing issues of faculty and staff recruitment and retention by bringing greater resources to shared challenges. PARTICIPATION When we collectively take part in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion we create lasting impact within higher education that will be valued for generations.
