1 XEROX PRINTING/COPYING/SCANNING To access the Xerox MFP main control screen press the Power Saver button on the Control Panel (this may be labelled as Energy Saver or Power depending on your model) You will be prompted to login LOGIN Tap your Niagara College staff or student card on the attached card reader to login OR if you forgot your card Press the Log In/Out button on the Control Panel THEN Select Alternate Login Enter your network username and select Done Enter your network password and select Done For print release Select Follow-You Printing OR For other services Page 1 of 11

2 Press the Services Home button on the Control Panel For staff with multiple billing codes you will be prompted for a billing code, please refer to the section FOR STAFF, MULTIPLE BILLING CODES Make your selection from the services above COPY Select Copy Place copy material in the sheet feeder (face up) or on the glass (face down) Page 2 of 11

3 SCANNING TO Select scans and sends the scanned file as an attachment to staff and/or student accounts, It is restricted to these recipients for security For example, you cannot scan to a Gmail address TO TO YOURSELF This is recommended when scanning confidential documents Select Add Me TO TO SOMEONE IN THE OUTLOOK ADDRESS BOOK Select Network Address Book You cannot search by first name as this functionality is unsupported Enter the Last name of the person you are searching for Select Search Choose the intended recipient and press To Select Close OR Enter their network username e.g. jsmith for John Smith Page 3 of 11

4 Select Search Choose the correct recipient and press To Select Close TO MANUALLY ENTER AN ADDRESS Select New Recipient Enter the recipients address and press Add Select Close The address you are ing to will appear in the Recipients screen WORKFLOW SCANNING SCANNING TO A NETWORK DRIVE OR USB Select Workflow Scanning Page 4 of 11

5 FOR STAFF, SCAN TO G Select Staff Scan to G Refer to the standard Xerox MFP documentation for information on options Your file will be scanned to the G:\SCANNEDDOCS folder Files scanned to G:\SCANNEDDOCS folder will be automatically deleted after 24 hours The scanned file will be named with your network username followed by the date and time if a file name is not entered Scanning to other network locations is not an option to ensure all functions are available from any Xerox MFP on the college network FOR STUDENTS, SCAN TO H Select Student Scan to H Your file will be scanned to your H: drive home folder The scanned file will be named with your network username followed by the date and time if a file name is not entered USB This is another option when scanning confidential documents Select USB Page 5 of 11

6 Insert a FAT32 formatted USB key drive Mac OS formatted USB key drives will not work ECSP FOR PRINT RELEASE / FOLLOW-YOU PRINTING Print your file to a Xerox follow-you print queue Select ECSP Select Follow-You Printing Page 6 of 11

7 Only your print jobs will appear in the list Select the print job to release Select Print PRINTER LABEL DESCRIPTION Each Xerox MFP or student printer, i.e. printers in classrooms, labs or the library will be labelled with the specific print queue name, functionality of the device and a QR code specific to the MFP or printer Printer \\WCPRT03\L33 name of the printer specific print queue 8 ½ x 11 (LTR) supported Paper Size available on this device 8 ½ x 14 (LGL) supported Paper Size available on this device 11 x 17 supported Paper Size available on this device Stapling Stapling available on this device Black and White/Colour printing supported printing available on this device Double Sided Printing Double Sided printing available on this device Colour Scanning Colour Scanning available on this device Fax Faxing available on this device QR Code for Web Print Release and Follow-You printing Page 7 of 11
