2 WHAT S TRUE COLORS LIKE? True Colors is a dynamic blend of information and activities. The activities are designed to create insight and learning and include a variety of formats, including presentations, small and large group discussions, writing, guided visualizations, physical activities, and opportunities to learn from each other. The days are varied, interesting, and very different from conventional school settings. WHO ELSE IS COMING? True Colors is attended by up to 50 young people between the ages of 13 to 18 years. Teens come from all over the United States and sometimes other countries and cultures. Sometimes they attend by themselves and a few attend with family members or friends. There is a wide variety in the backgrounds and experiences of the participants in True Colors. GETTING READY FOR TRUE COLORS For a few days before True Colors take good care of yourself. Get plenty of sleep, eat really well and start thinking about what you d like to get out of the seminar. You may want to let your friends and family know how you d like to be supported during the seminar with cards or messages. These are posted outside the seminar room. Remember your True Colors experience begins on Tuesday evening and lasts through your celebration on Sunday. Clear your schedule and prepare to focus on yourself for five days!
