1 Grade 4 and 5 Ski Camp Monday-Friday, February 1-5, 2016 Yong Pyong Ski Resort, Korea / December 4, 2015 Dear Grade 4 and 5 Parents, I am pleased to inform you that Dwight School Seoul is organizing a Ski Camp for all students in grades 4 and 5, the week of February 1-5, We will be taking the students by school bus to the Yong Pyong Ski Resort, about 200 km East of Seoul, which will take approximately 3 ½ hours from Dwight. Yong Pyong is a top, world-class ski resort equipped with a total of 31 differing slopes and 15 lifts. The following staff will accompany the students: all four homeroom teachers, Mr. Frank Vink, Mr. Joost Langendonck and Ms. Julie Kim. The supervising staff have years of combined experience running ski camps and are eager to introduce your child to something new or to help them to continue to develop their skills. Ms. Julie Kim is invaluable as an interpreter and support for both staff and students. The information that you need in order to help your child prepare adequately for this exciting learning experience is included in this package. To register your child, please sign the permission form and return it to the School by Monday, January 11, General Details Description: Ski Camp Date of Trip: February 1-5, 2016 Destination: Yong Pyong Ski Resort Transportation: School Bus Cost: 595,000 KRW for skiing / 655,000 KRW for snowboarding (Cost may vary depending on number of registered participants) Departure Time: 8:15 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016 Return Time: Approximately 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 (Parents will need to collect their children from School) Attire: Students must arrive on Monday, February 1, 2016 at School in ski clothes Price and Payment Information The total cost of the trip will be approximately 595,000 KRW (655,000 KRW for snowboarding) for the week, which will include the following: Accommodation in a 6 person Villa/Tower Condo (4 nights)

2 12 meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner for the week) with a selection of Western and Korean meals. (Breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant Shalet with lunch at the Cafeteria Gerende ) Lift pass for the week Equipment rental -- skis, boots, poles / snowboard, boots Ski helmet rental (compulsory) Ski / snowboard lessons with fully qualified, English speaking instructors on a 1:5 ratio Admission for Peak Island Water Park Healthy snacks and drinks which are to be provided after skiing / snowboarding Round trip to and from Dwight School Seoul Please send in all payments to the following bank account: Ski Camp Account Number: KEB Payment should reference ID number There will be a negotiable refund if your child is unable to attend due to medical reasons, with a docto note. Week Schedule During the Ski Camp, students will have the opportunities not only to practice their skiing skills, but also to live together for a week away from home. The staff will provide skiing, depending on their level of energy after a day on the slopes. We are aware, for many students, this may be their first time to be away from home and we shall ensure the students are carefully supervised. The use of personal mobile phones will be limited to emergency purposes only, as students will be encouraged to enjoy their time with their colleagues. Thank you for your understanding. Monday, February 1: Students to meet outside the Central Office. Depart Dwight at 8:15 a.m. Arrive at Yong Pyong at lunch time and eat packed lunch. Arrange to collect the ski equipment. Meet the ski instructors and arrange groups based upon ability. They will ski all afternoon then enjoy dinner and activities. Tuesday, February 2: Breakfast, morning skiing, lunch, afternoon skiing, dinner, and evening activities Wednesday, February 3: Breakfast, morning skiing, lunch, afternoon skiing, dinner, and evening activity - Thursday, February 4: Breakfast, morning skiing, lunch, afternoon skiing, dinner, and evening activity - Disco Friday, February 5: Breakfast, morning skiing, awards ceremony, return ski equipment, and return to Dwight. Arrive at Dwight at approximately 5:00 p.m. *Parents will be informed of the exact return time by SMS. Information Session

5 Parent Consent Form for Excursion Participation: Grade 4 and 5 Ski Camp February 1-5, 2016, Yong Pyong Ski Resort IMPORTANT MEDICAL INFORMATION Students are responsible for bringing allergy medication such as Epipens or inhalers and any other prescribed medication required on all field trips. All medicines should be clearly labeled and given to the homeroom teacher on arrival. STUDENT SAFETY Dwight School Seoul strives to ensure the safety of its students while participating in school-sponsored student activities. However, despite taking all reasonable precautions to minimize the risk, there remain inherent risks of injury. Parents or guardians who consent to a student participating in a school activity should understand that such injuries can occur during school activities because of the inherent nature of the activity and without neglect on either the part of the student or Dwight School Seoul. STUDENT ACCIDENT INSURANCE While Dwight School Seoul does provide student accident insurance while the students are involved in domestic school activities, the undersigned agrees to maintain appropriate medical insurance at all times. Should the student suffer injury or illness while participating in this event, the undersigned agrees to bear the medical and/or dental costs required. MEDICAL SERVICES AUTHORIZATION Should the student suffer injury or illness participating in this event, the undersigned hereby authorizes any teacher accompanying the student to provide medical attention for the student as may be deemed appropriate in the circumstances. The undersigned authorizes medical personnel to administer medical and/or surgical services including anesthesia and other drugs. IMPROPER BEHAVIOR The chances of an injury occurring during school activities will be reduced when the student carefully follows instructions at all times and wears appropriate clothing and equipment. Should the student fail to obey the rules and regulations prescribed by the School and by its Behavior Code while participating in the activity, the School may, at its sole and absolute discretion refund. Any additional costs incurred as a result of the student being sent home will be the responsibility of the undersigned. Parents will be asked to come and collect their child in a case of serious behavior issue. RELEASE OF LIABILITY The undersigned hereby releases Dwight School Seoul, its directors, officers and employees (the School ) from any and all liability relating to bodily injury, loss or damage to personal property suffered by a student resulting from participation in the described activity.

6 MEDIA RELEASE I understand that photographs and videos of students may be taken during the excursion and may be used to promote the School and its programs. I hereby consent to the photography, use and reproduction of my Parent Consent Form for Excursion Participation: Grade 4 and 5 Ski Camp February 1-5, 2016, Yong Pyong Ski Resort appointed photographic supplier or agency (e.g. newspapers, magazines, and websites). PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE The undersigned understands the risks inherent in the activity and gives permission for the student to participate in the described activity.
