1 PO Box 7740, Texarkana, Texas, Dear Children s Ministry Leader, Here is your registration packet for IGNITE, the BBA Children s Camp. Last year 92 children professed faith in Christ at camp. We expect a similar movement of the Lord this year. Please pray for camp, our leadership team and personalities. And begin now promoting camp with your children, their parents and your sponsors. Dates: Camp 1, July Camp 2, July Camp 3, July Camp Pastor, Clayton Poland. With a unique blend of comedy, story-telling, science and illusion, Clayton brings scripture to life. Children will love his interactive, engaging gospel messages. Worship Leader, camps 1 and 2, Jagee Melton. If you attended camp in 2015 then you know what a dynamic, engaging worship leader Jagee is. Jagee leads kids to express their love for Christ with great joy and enthusiasm. Worship Leaders, camp 3, Dreds and Company. New to the BBA, Dreds, aka Dawna Duke, leads life changing worship, combining energetic music with scriptural lyrics. Her team is a favorite at camps across Texas. Learn more about our pastor and worship leaders online at Camp Cost: $140 for BBA and Lakeview cooperating churches. All others, $145 Please read this packet carefully. Registration opens Jan. 18 and is first-come, first served. To reserve your place at camp, please submit the Reservation Deposit Form with a deposit of $40 per camper. Deposits are not refundable, but should a camper cancel the deposit may be transferred toward the unpaid deposit of another camper. Final payment is due on arrival at camp. 3 Checklist Step by Step Guide for Camp Registration and Participation Church Name Primary Contact Name Submit Reservation Deposit Form and deposit of $40/camper as soon as you know which camp you plan to attend. Reservations are confirmed on a first come, first served basis. As long as space is available you may register additional campers through June 30th. Please call BBA to confirm space is available. After June 30th, only same sex substitutions will be allowed. Complete the Lakeview Baptist Assembly Medical Information/Consent/Agreement to Participate form for every camper, child and adult. No one may attend without this form. Submit the original of each when you check-in at camp. Group leaders should keep a copy with them as well. Recruit at least one male sponsor for every 9 boys and one female sponsor for every 9 girls. Sponsors must be 18 years of age or older. If your church has difficulty securing sponsors, please contact the BBA. It is likely we can assist you. Complete Criminal and Sexual Misconduct Records Check form for each sponsor attending camp. Forms should be submitted to the BBA office by fax or mail before 5 PM, Thursday, June 2nd. The BBA Fax no. is (903) Also by Thursday June 2nd, provide the BBA with a list of T-shirt sizes for all campers currently registered via or phone. There is a place on the Lakeview form for campers to note their T-shirt sizes. A Medication Administration and Release form must be completed for all campers, child and adult, who will take medication at camp. Please follow the directions on the form with regard to medication. Upon check-in at camp, the forms and all medications must be presented to the Camp Nurse. Each medication, prescription or over-the-counter, must be presented in the original container with dosage directions. Place each person s meds in a separate zip lock bag with the person s name. Provide a copy of the Camp Information Sheet, which includes camp rules, what to bring, and dress code, to all children and sponsors attending camp. Please review it with your group prior to departure. Communicate your current camp count (indicate boy campers, male sponsors, girl campers, and female sponsors) to the BBA by , fax, or phone by June 30th. Plan your departure to arrive at Lakeview at or near 2 pm on the date your camp begins. Check-in opens at 2 pm. Before you depart for camp, complete the Tally Sheet and compute your final payment due. You will receive a receipt for payment at check-in. Please present payment with a single church check. When you depart for camp call Co-Director Jerry Jones at (903) and communicate your final camp count (boy campers, male sponsors, girl campers, and female sponsors). This will expedite your housing assignment. Upon arrival at camp, your group leader should check in at the meeting room below the worship center. Watch for the sign. Dorm assignments will be given after 2 pm upon check-in. There will be a meeting for all sponsors and group leaders with the Camp Leadership Team at the conclusion of check-in. All sponsors must attend. Children will be engaged with the camp staff during this time. Check-in begins promptly at 2 PM. When camp concludes, departure is at 10 AM.

You need to provide Lakeview with a copy of your certificate of completion. If no proof of completion can be provided, you must complete Child Protection Training provided at the start of or prior to this camp. Child Protection Training is valid for two years, after which it must be retaken. Check One I will provide a copy of the 2015 Certificate of Completion. 9 BBA CHILDREN S CAMP IMPORTANT INFORMATION CAMP RULES Lakeview is a Christian camp, and all rules are to help us in our conduct and to reflect Christ in all that we do. Please respect all camp properties. We ask you to assist in keeping the grounds clean of trash. Cans are provided camp wide to contain debris. If property or equipment is damaged, your group will be held responsible for the cost of repair or replacement. If dorm room is excessively filthy during your stay or upon departure, your church will be assessed a fine of $50. The lake is for swimming, blobbing, canoeing, paddle boating, kayaking, or fishing. A lifeguard must be present, and life jackets worn while a camper is in any boat, or enjoying any lake activity. No cell phones. Sponsors, please collect them. Shaving cream fights, water fights, etc. will not be tolerated. A group doing such in or near enough a building to cause damage will face a charge of $100. No use of the Ropes Course will be allowed unless Lakeview s authorized, trained personnel are present. Meals must be eaten in the Dining Hall unless otherwise prearranged with the camp. Students are not allowed to leave the campgrounds while attending camp. Students must attend all scheduled sessions and activities throughout the week. Students are not allowed to ride in or on any vehicle during the camp session without permission from camp staff. Students may not be in their dorms unless accompanied by a sponsor and should not be in another dorm for ANY reason. Students are not allowed to share ANY medication belonging to them with any other student all medication (prescription and non-prescription must be checked in with the camp nurse upon arrival). Lakeview carries an accident policy on registered guests. This policy is intended to supplement your own insurance, and it will pay only to its limits. There is no deductible. Sickness and pre-existing conditions are not covered. This policy will pay only for accidents immediately reported to Lakeview. This insurance does not cover members of your group who leave the grounds during your stay. Unauthorized activities may not be covered. All claims must be reported on forms provided by Lakeview. Shorts must be modest in length, no short shorts. All pants, jeans, shorts must have a waistband. Shirts must cover the entire torso and not allow midriffs or bellybuttons to show, even when arms are raised. Sleeveless shirts are allowed, but must cover the entire shoulder. No spaghetti straps or tank tops. Swimsuits must be modest. No bikinis, low-cut swimsuits or swimsuits with a high-cut leg. Tankinis must cover the midriff or be covered by a dark t-shirt. Undergarments must be worn underneath clothing. They must not show through clothing or rise above the pant waistband. Clothing that advertises alcohol or tobacco products or represents things contrary to Christianity cannot be worn. Sleep wear must be modest and can not be worn out of the cabins. Campers are to be fully dressed in accordance with this dress code any time they are outside of their cabins. Shirts and shoes are required when en route to and from the pool or waterfront. ENFORCEMENT OF THE DRESS CODE Group leaders are asked to review the dress code with all campers and their parents before leaving for camp. We also ask that group leaders and adult sponsors follow and enforce the dress code while at camp.
