Your child will be given a weather report that they are required to read, study and present to the class. The presentation should be no longer than 2 minutes. During class we will watch several videos and examples of real meteorologists to show your student how a professional reports the weather. Encourage your student to practice their presentation several times before presenting while acting like the weathermen they have seen in class or on TV. A rubric is attached to this letter so you can see how your student will be graded. We encourage you to help your student when needed and be creative when preparing the presentation but please remember that your student will have to present on their own. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask your child s teacher. Thanks! The 2 nd Grade Team
