1 Evidencing the Impact of Primary PE and Sport Premium at Hillingdon Primary School Hillingdon Primary and the Department for Education Vision for the Primary PE and Sport Premium ALL leaving primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport. The funding has been provided to ensure impact against the following OBJECTIVE: To achieve self-sustaining improvement in the quality of PE and sport in primary schools. It is important to emphasise that the focus of spending must lead to long lasting impact against the vision (above) that will live on well beyond the Primary PE and Sport Premium funding. It is expected that our school will see an improvement against the following 5 key indicators: 1. the engagement of all in regular physical activity kick-starting healthy active lifestyles 2. the profile of PE and sport being raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement 3. increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport 4. broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all 5. increased participation in competitive sport It is a statutory requirement of Ofsted, under their Common Inspection Framework, to ensure that information on the use of the Primary PE and Sport Premium is available on our school website. One of the key purposes of putting information on the school website is to keep parents informed, so this information should be written in a format that is clear and easily accessible.

Children Get Active by being provided variety and numerous opportunities during lunch time to participate, develop and challenge their physical literacy skills. 1. Hourly wage of 3 teachers P.E. for 570 paying hours Calculation 5 lunchtime days x 3 teachers = x 38 school weeks =570 hours X 570 = Get Active Charts Average: 77% Average: 85% (*rolling avg. at the moment) - Calculate percentage 2. Children introduced in termly assemblies about how to be Active and Healthy 2. PE Coordinator leads assemblies Get Active Charts - Pupil Voice Years 3-6
3 The profile of PE and sport being raised across the school as a tool for whole school improvement 1. Greater range of Olympic and Paralympic Sport Taster Sessions delivered by outside sport bodies to children alongside a cultural element for our children to participate and appreciate. 1. Buy into local sports program, South Hillingdon School Sports Network (SHSSN) Pictures and Collages of different sport taster sessions displayed on P.E. board Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport 2. Children experience our school s Healthy Lifestyle week plus the Life Bus and learn about the importance of Being Healthy, how to be healthy, and knowledge of the human body. There will be cross curricular links with science and numeracy for that week. 1. More effective P.E. lessons 2. Planning by AA and MP with a small committee Booking the Life Bus Informing Parents 1. CPD (REAL GYM) for teacher new to school Teacher attending the course would then have staff meeting time to pass on knowledge and skills learnt 450 for a 3 day course over three terms 2. Pictures, timetables, display board , calendar bookings Increase of teacher s lesson quality in delivering P.E. lessons through lesson observations - Teacher lead staff meeting
4 Broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all 1. Providing a range of sporting and active clubs after school to KS1 and KS2 children, including Change4Life Clubs where children can develop and/or enhance key P.E. skills 1. Have 2 teachers, P.E., lead a variety of school clubs, focusing on offering sporting and activity opportunities to KS1 children - s, letters to parent, registers of sports clubs, written parent feedback Change4Life - Pupil & Parent voice feedback - Calculate # of children participating; differentiate between KS1 and KS2 2. Acquiring new P.E. equipment to be used for P.E. lessons, after school sports clubs, and lunch time sport zones 2. Buy equipment 2.
