We also know that value for money is important, so throughout this leaflet you will find 10 money saving tips to help you get the best value for your travel requirements. Look out for the tips throughout the leaflet, marked by the ticket icons. At East Midlands Trains we want to make things as simple as possible. 1. BOOK YOUR TICKETS ONLINE Our first tip is to book at eastmidlandstrains.co.uk for the best price on your tickets. Our lowest Advance fares have a 1 discount when you buy online, meaning a saving of 2 if you book a second single Advance fare for your return journey. 2. SIGN UP AND SAVE By booking online at eastmidlandstrains.co.uk you can sign up to receive our s and receive exclusive train ticket offers to save you money on your future journeys. 3 OUR TICKETS FOR JOURNEYS TO / FROM LONDON If you know what train you want to travel on or can be flexible on travel times and dates that offer our cheapest fares then Advance tickets are for you. Generally, the more flexible you can be with your booking, the cheaper you can get your tickets. With Advance tickets, journeys must be made on the dates and times selected. They are available on a large number of East Midlands Trains services to and from London St Pancras. Tickets must be purchased in advance of travel and are subject to availability. Advance fares offer our best value and can be easily found using Best Fare Finder at eastmidlandstrains.co.uk If you are unable to specify an actual time that you want to travel; then the table below will help guide you to the best ticket. The table highlights the appropriate time of day restrictions for each of the tickets using different colours, these same colours are used in our timetable on the appropriately timed trains. Advising if the time you want to travel is classed as East Midlands Trains Anytime, Off Peak or Super Off-Peak. Return fare price is based on two Standard Class Advance single tickets available at eastmidlandstrains.co.uk Advance tickets are only valid for travel on the specific train on which you reserve your seat, so be sure to travel on that train otherwise you will be required to buy a brand-new, full fare ticket. change your ticket to travel at a different time, go to the ticket office before the departure of the train shown on your ticket. You will then just need to pay the difference between the price paid for your original ticket and the price of the ticket on the train you want to travel on, plus a 10 administration fee. 4. UPGRADE ON WEEKDAYS Upgrade to First Class on weekdays to London, starting from just 19 one way from Wellingborough. Get a guaranteed large seat and table to work, at seat power points and free WiFi.
