6 Meeting Information Resident/Fellow Members Activities Clinical vignettes, posters, and research papers prepared by Resident/Fellow Members and Medical Students will be presented at the meeting. Winners will receive $200, a travel scholarship to present at the 2016 Internal Medicine Meeting in Washington, DC, and be eligible for entrance into the national competition held during Internal Medicine Meeting Contact Andrew Olson, MD, at Olso5714@umn.edu for information about entering the Resident/Fellow Members Competition. Deadline for submissions is September 20, Reception on November 6 for Medical Students and Internal Medicine Residents participating in the poster competition and Doctor s Dilemma TM and career mentoring/speed dating event; winning abstracts to be published in Minnesota Medicine in Learning Objectives At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to: Apply updated knowledge of internal medicine to clinical practice. Recall recent advances in internal medicine. Apply updated knowledge on anticoagulants, hepatitis C, TB, statin treatment, cultural competence, and other related topics for the care of patients in the clinic and hospital. Chapter Awards The Minnesota Chapter presents a Laureate Award to a deserving chapter member. Laureate Award winners are longstanding and loyal supporters of the College who have rendered distinguished service to their chapters and community and have upheld the high ideals and professional standards for which the College is known. This and the Volunteer and Community Services award will be presented during the November 6 Scientific Session. Who should attend?
