2 PRIVATE LESSONS / COURT RATES General Rules GENERAL TENNIS RULES Food and drinks are not allowed on the courts. Water (in closed containers or in thermoses only) is allowed on the courts. The use of profanity, loud noises, racquet throwing, and any form of misconduct is not permitted. Proper tennis apparel must be worn at all times on the courts. Customary men s and women s tennis attire without a collar is acceptable. Cut-offs, jeans, t-shirts, muscle shirts, and swimsuits are unacceptable. Running or black/dark soled shoes are not permitted on the clay courts. Only smooth-soled shoes are allowed on indoor and outdoor courts. Members must cease playing immediately at the end of their allotted court time. Conversely, the next court occupants must wait in the lobby area (or, for outdoors, off the court area) until the proper time. Please note: Only Five Seasons Professional Staff are allowed to give tennis instruction. All Five Seasons Tennis Department rules and policies are applicable to all members, no exceptions. PRIVATE LESSONS Half Hour Lessons Private $41-$44 Semi-Private $24-$29 Hour Lessons Private $74-$80 Semi-Private $41-$45 Three Student Private Group $28 each Four Student Private Group $26 each Private tennis lessons with any of our Five Seasons professional staff will improve your game faster than any other form of instruction. Get individualized attention on your strokes and shot selection, movement, and footwork. Please note that there is a strictly enforced 24-hour cancellation policy for private lessons. Members will automatically be billed the full lesson price if 24 hour notice is not given. As a courtesy to your Pro, please understand that your Pro s time is scheduled by the hour and they need 24 hours notice to fill cancelled spots. Non-Member Lesson Participation Policy A non-member may take one session s worth of published or private lessons per lifetime. The purpose is to provide nonmembers with a one-time lesson experience which lasts for an entire session, thereby giving non-members a true sense as to the quality of instruction which Five Seasons offers. After this one-time non-member experience as a lesson participant, a non-member must join the club to continue taking lessons. The only exception to the one-time, one-session rule is the policy which covers USTA Junior Team Tennis participation. A non-member may register for a maximum of 15 classes per lifetime (example: 15 once-a-week classes held over 3 fiveweek sessions). After 15 classes, Five Seasons membership is required for continued participation. PRIVATE LESSONS / COURT RATES INDOOR COURT FEES & RULES Weekdays Open-9:00 am $12 per hour 9:00 am $22 per hour 7:00 pm- Close $23 per hour Weekends Open-9:00 am $12 per hour 9:00 am $23 per hour 5:00 pm- Close $16 per hour Senior Court Fee Discount Senior members (age 55 or older) receive a 50% discount for courts reserved between Open and 4 pm, Monday-Friday. Please indicate your senior status and discount when making a court reservation for these hours. Tennis Court Reservations Membership number and type must be given when making all reservations. The name of each court participant must be given at the time the reservation is made. Indoor courts may be reserved up to seven days in advance. Tennis lessons may be scheduled by contacting the Member Services Desk. All court and lesson fees must be paid or signed for prior to entering the courts. Cancellations Court and lesson reservations must be cancelled 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged the appropriate fees. Free Walk-On Indoor Court Time for Senior Members The rules governing free walk-on indoor court time for senior members are the same as the rules governing free walk-on indoor court time for junior members, with only two exceptions: (1), senior members are those members who are 55 years old or older; (2), senior members have free walk-on indoor court time from 3:00 pm to close on Saturdays and Sundays. Free Walk-On Indoor Court Time for Junior Members Any junior member may walk-on to an open court at the top of the hour and play without charge. A few conditions regarding this policy: (1), if a junior member makes a court reservation, he or she will be charged the full amount for court time; please note that this policy applies only to junior members who walk-on to open court time at the top of the hour (i.e., 5:00 pm); (2), before walking onto the court, the junior member must check in with the Member Services Desk and receive a court assignment; (3), when a junior member follows the walk-on rules and walks onto an open court at the top of the hour, the court time is free for everyone playing on the court with the junior member. In other words, the member junior can play with a non-member junior, a non-member adult or another member and the court time will be free for everyone who is playing with the junior member; (4), if a non-member adult or a non-member junior plays with a junior member in a walk-on situation, the non-member must pay the $15 guest fee before they begin playing; (5), note that this walk-on privilege is extended to all junior members of the Club.
