25 From Europe we need... The European High North needs more attention as a macroregion. Own strategy? Stronger role in The Baltic Sea strategy? The European High North needs to join forces for a common future and a shared High North Strategy and understanding between Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia and the EU towards Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth logistic and energy networks, economy and natural resources, environment and sustainability, services, employment, labour, mobility. The European High North needs sufficient financial resources to compensate the special characteristics challenging the development (extra allocation based on sparse population!) Functional and flexible co-operation areas to work regionally and cross-border Good integration to European and Global research, development and innovation networks
