2 Structure Features With dual-piston push, rack and pinion driving, compact structure, symmetrical fitting positions and quick actions, the rotating direction of output shaft can be changed simply by reversing the piston. Angular stroke output: 0 ~90 ±5 indicates double action; indicates single action, i.e.: spring-return type. When the process system has a power failure or air cut, valves can quickly return to the ordinary state for safety and reliability. Ambient temperature:special: -40 ~+90 Standard: -20 ~+160 Air Supply Connection Clean air is filtered, dried or lubricated in compliance with the requirements of VDI/ VDE3845NAMUR. The minimum pressure is 0.3MPa, and the maximum pressure is 0.8MPa. Solenoid valve can be easily fixed. Output shaft The top has 4x4 standard slots and M6 internal thread holes to fix accessories and general sensors flexibly. The bottom end has internal octagon holes, complying to 5211/DIN3337. It can easily carry out conversion between parallel foursquare and diagonal foursquare; and also provides other connection type appointed by other users, such as key connection, etc. Bearing Output shaft and piston is applied the highquality bearing, with good stability, sealing performance, low friction coefficient, wide range of applicable temperature, and long service life. O-ring Ordinary type: butyronitrile oil proof rubber. Fluorous and silicone rubber for high or low temperature application, with corresponding lubricant. 1 2 Mounting Hole Stroke adjustment Mounting holes at the top comply with VDI/ VDE3845, and can fix positioning devices, or limit switch boxes. Stroke adjusting screws are fixed on two end covers. Pneumatic actuating mechanism is with standard actions. Air inlets from B port; output shaft rotates in a clockwise way; piston is outside, so that stroke can be adjusted to be consistent with the closed position of valves. Cylinder Body Mounting holes at the bottom comply with 5211/DIN3337. Valves, manual mechanism or supports can be easily installed. With extruded aluminum alloy cylinder body, the surface is carried out anodic oxidation treatment, so that the hardness and corrosion resistance is largely improved. The inner surface of the cylinder is processed by fine honing, so the friction coefficient is low and service life is long. Supporting ring is made by material with low friction coefficient, and the friction between piston and cylinder body can be avoided. Inspection Both the output torque and life test of pneumatic actuating devices are qualified by type test. All the intensity, sealing, action and appearance are qualified under strict exfactory inspection. Design of single action The single and double action actuating mechanism has the same cylinder body and end cover. The combined type pre-load spring components make the single action output torque reaches the maximum value, and assures the stability and safety for dismantle and assembly. Site conversion can be achieved by adding or removing spring.

Applied torque: Valve torque x130% DOUBLE ACTION Find out the torque value (this value shall be greater than the applied torque) in the air pressure line of the double action output torque chart, and it is the specification of the required actuator. e.g.: air source pressure: 0.5Mpa Required torque of valve: 180 N.m Reliability coefficient: 30% Applied torque: 180x130%=234 N.m Refer to the chart: in the 0.5Mpa line, the torque value is 276.6, which is greater than 234, so actuating mechanism that shall be applied is 125. SPRING RETURN In many cases, from the ON position to the OFF position, or from the OFF position to the ON position, the required torque of the valve is not a constant value. The sealing butterfly valve has distinctive features: ON-OFF torque is large, but the torque after opening and before closing is small. For the single action actuating mechanism, under air pressure, the output torque reduces from 0 to 90. When spring returns, the output torque reduces from 90 to 0. Taking advantage of the above features, some actuating mechanisms can be selected more economically, or butterfly valve can be closed or opened with larger torque. For the air to open type pneumatic butterfly valve, the maximum output torque during pneumatic and the minimum output torque during spring returning are only required to be greater than the required torque of butterfly valve. (The number of spring shall be increased properly) 9 10 For the air to close pneumatic butterfly valve, the minimum output torque during pneumatic and the maximum output torque during spring returning are only required to be greater than the required torque of butterfly valve.
