14 Positioning for the future We expect increased activity levels in northern Norway Local precense and cooperation with local stakeholders is a key to successful project execution A north Norway office will give us the platform to develop local relations Access to competent personnel Easier to engage with and follow up local suppliers and partners Closer proximity to mobilisation ports Be closer to clients and 3rd parties Be positioned for increased activity further north Page 14

15 Arctic technology Subsea 7 has is actively taking part in developing and implementing technology for the oil and gas industry Oil and gas developments will happen in more challenging conditions (colder, deeper, harsher environment) The technology cluster in Tromsø has a high degree of arctic knowledge and competence Developed course on Arctic Technology in cooperation with the University of Stavanger in 2009 Participation in RU-NO Barents project by INTSOK Plan to engage with University of Tromsø as part of our establishment in northern Norway Page 15

16 Long term relationship with suppliers Fabrication capacity in south-west Norway is strained to fulfil the needs of the increasing activity and we have seen competitive price levels from new suppliers in the North Local presence is required to establish and maintain supplier relationships Develop and cooperate with local suppliers to increase competence and understanding of the oil and gas industry Suppliers in north Norway will be treated equal to suppliers further south, same opportunities, same requirements North Norway suppliers are already being invited to bid for supplies to projects in southern parts of Norway and UK Pre-qualifications ongoing Page 16
